I can see the resemblance. Jack Finsterer definitely do look like Mel Gibson.



And LOL, Finsterer means "The dark one" in german ....

totally ...someone mentioned it on imdb and i also first went nahhhhhh....but like i said if he was less butch and didnt attract the hollywood element to it he would have been good.mean facial expressions?as far as i know max didnt pull that many bar beyond when he grabbed his uniform from the trunk in mad max one....he's more subtle,boiling under rage.

Matthew Fox from LOST is the perfect guy. Ya know, the KING from 300 also looks alot like Mel. Oh, what the hell, let's do it right and get Gibson !

Whoever ends up playing Max, (if it happens at all) He should be Aussie, it only seems right.

I understand there are other actors out there that could reprise Max's role. But I identify Mel Gibson's face and acting with that of Max Rockatansky.
You can't do another mad max movie without Max Rockatansky... and Max Rockatansky = portrayed by Mel Gibson...

Will I see it? Yes... I've seen Beyond Thunderdome aswell, simply because it was Mad Max. In the end I found they should have left it at The Road Warrior... Because Beyond Thunderdome was a turd... There was nothing left of the original Character, all of it swept away by PG13... damn kids...

As an Australian I think I speak for the rest of my people when I say 'We don't want no f**king yank playing no Max'.

Sorry, but there will be a national outcry if that happens, it would ruin the feel of the movie, they need to retain their locality, anonymous support according to the rest of the world, it will be another movie that would make us proud again.
This movie wont need huge names and locations to sell, the name enough and the hype around it will so most the work.
When the hell are we gonna start a petition to get Miller the idea that MM is an Australian name and to not take it overseas?

Someone needs to contact Geroge Miller about this guy and say now you can do Mad Max 4.

It was a huge mistake, the memo to Mel said, "Get ready to star in your fourth sequel!"
For some reason everyone thought it meant Lethal Weapon.
I'd like to see Mel using dirty tricks and guns verses crossbows to whoop the young punks.
But if Mel ain't doing it for whatever reason, "Jack Finsterer" sure looks like he could pull it off.
You know I don't really care who plays Max, just start wrecking some cool custimized vehicles and throw some mindless violence in it and I'll be happy.
