Mad Max TV advert

I don't know if you guys in Austraia have this commercial, I suppose you
do but its the advert for the new Ford Fiesta car.

Its graphics intensive but the background I would swear is the underground
police garage from Mad Max I, a.k.a the Melbourne Uni. carpark.

Anyone else seen it?

Sorry, no you-tube link avaliable, its a brand
new commercial here and not very widely
played on the TV.

I'm sure its the garage from the film, the director
probably picked for this reason, but thats a guess?

Are there any other kiwi forum users who might have
seen it?

Though that particular commercial hasnt been shown here in Australia (as far as i know). There was a few other using the same style of graphics etc.... but they never showed the underground carpark one here.

Cant say 100% it is the Melb carpark.. as i always thought all those other commercials in the series were filmed in Europe somewhere.

It was aired earlier in the year here in Melbourne (in fact was on when Dirk was here in February), then I hadn't noticed it for the last few months, but saw it on again the other day.

Apparently it is the Melbourne Uni carpark (no other like it, is there?) and Dirk does have the clip on his website here: Dirk Down Under 2009.

yes i remember seeing it on the TV in vic also, earlier this year.

The first thing i noticed it was the same car park as when Max first starts the Pursuit speciel. The pilars are very unique not many like that around id say.

Its been played in Brisbane, theres only one car park like that, especially when most ads are made in Melbourne.
