Remake MM1

Post by MrSpeed »

While its a question and debate if there will be a MM4, and if mel will do the right thing by the fans of mad max ??

How about a remake of mad Max... russle crow as the toe cutter, nickcole kidman as jesse.. max well i will leave that to everyones views on who should do it ?

its not like they cant go back to the original film locations as they appear to be the same as they did in the original !!

Gone in 60 secounds

Vanashing piont

dukes of hazzard

Death race

all remakes of the originals, my opinion some good some crap.

Mad max remake ... i reckon would be awesome " bloody Oath " !!

bust a deal, face the wheel.

I dunno if the other fans would approve... lol

The reason the movie is sucessful i think... is because of its gritty feel. The "no name" actors also play an important role.
Plus one could say that it was in its day, was a top of the line "b" grade movie.

Looking at all the remakes today one really cringes at how poorly "hollywood" has done them.
Over use of CGI, big name actors, poor cinematography, unbelievable explosions etc.... and the fact that the remakes were made so different from the first really detracts from them as well.

The next problem is the fact that XBs are becoming rarer .. im sure everyone would cringe at the thought of seeing XBs being destroyed. (unless they bought real rusty heaps of crap which werent worth saving i guess)
Other alternatives could be the use of XD/ XE Falcons as the 4 doors. The Tuff Green and the True Blue race cars that Dick Johnson drove looked damn tuff with those massive wheels and flare kits.

The black car would have to still be an XB....

The advantages would be that the "entire" movie could be filmed, including some of the scenes which never made it.
But using CGI would be a no no....
In any case, a remake would still pale in comparison
We are 100% snafu....

haha exactly, absolutely no remake. and russel crowe? farrrk no. maybe if he played a max that weiled a telephone to hit people with rather than a shot gun. mm4 could be done...easily. with the right script and the right people (miller and mel) it will work like a charm. its been said a thousand times, no CI. Has to be done completely cam in hand and action rolling. after watching death proof, tarantino did a brilliant job and because old miller has appeared to be soft these days (babe, happy feet) maybe adopting tarantino's techniques wouldnt be a bad idea..only techniques though, no back to front down and up story line.

Can`t see the point in remakes. Abovementioned were terrible, in particular Vanishing Point, one of my alltime favourite movies. Mad Max 4 or nothing.

Remakes dont bother me much if theyre done well and offer a different slant on the original,as in the new Death Race remake or something like Dawn of the Dead.I cant see where they could remake Mad Max and offer something different,or better even.Cult films are best left alone and im dreading what the new Robocop remakes going to be like.probably another case of 'best left alone'!

I sincerely hope not. 99% of remakes are terrible. I can't think of one that was as good or better.

A remake would be strongly US influenced and high in 'electronic imagaes' much like most Sfi-fi films of today.

The cars (aussie icons) would be replaced with US versions ie Mustangs and Camaros.

I personally would not see it.

If ? it ever happens, it would have to be !!!

Australian actors

XA/XB falcons

original film locations.

gci would be better than seeing the cars destroyed

Nothing could replace the original !! it is the perfect film to see ausi muscle in action.

:)
