Hi
Here's the first render of the MM2 car, not sure if i'm on the right track...i'm trying to creat a similar feel to the movie film... grain, colour etc.
Please let me know what you all think.

Good onya, wayne! This thing looks absolutly stunning.
Only little thing i had to critisise are the wheels.
Really love the texturing, did you also made the road and background?
I would love to get a few tips from you, although im using Lightwave3d.

Re: MM2 3-D MODEL BY WAYNE
That's looking great so far.
If I had to point something out I would say the amount of reflection on the body side. I think there is a little too much sky reflected. As dusty as the car was I don't believe it would be that prominent.
Are you able to vary the thickness of the dust covering or is it on the car merely as a color? I would imagine it would be pretty difficult to draw dust in 3D.
I am sure you just haven't got to do dust on the headlights yet. I'm looking forward to seeing how you tweak this. It's amazing.

Thanks for the feedback everyone glad you all like the image...good point about the headlight dust Mad Maxing, I actually had mapped the headlights but in the render they looked to white and did'nt seem to have enough detail.i just need to add a little colour with photo shop.in regards to the dust i paint it on the map using photo shop but i add a bump map for some roughness.I also wanted just a little reflection in the car above the dirt line...but i can tweek it and make the reflections 'blured'.
Any questions you have Cueball don't hesitate to ask,I would be glad to help if I can. Please let me know what you think is wrong with the wheels. The background is not 3-D...the car just has a shadow map under it,although i did create the background in photoshop using a few different photos.
Cueball i added some wires in the last post..."pursuit special" in case you did'nt see them.
Thanks again everyone.

Re: MM2 3-D MODEL BY WAYNE
Amazing, love the details in the back.
The triangle-shaped 'openings' in the front wheels are looking a tad too big, thats all.
Then maybe lower the specularity on the body a bit, looks a bit too glossy.
Btw, are you polygonal modelling it, or using something like nurbs/subdiv surfaces?
The wires are looking great!
Oh, another question, are you modelling it part by part, or in one piece and working out the details
like the door gaps ect?
Hm...since you alrady made such a nice Falcon and think I'm switching to make the VH Charger first

Stunning, it even shows the tires the way they are supposed to be, not 100% round as there is weight on them. Or did you cheat and lower the model into the ground a bit?
I can't wait to see a drive by sequence... Or are you not savvy when it comes to animation?
