Aussie Coupes Interceptor Purchase

Post by Stonewall Jacks »

I am currently purchaseing a 1975 ford fairmont 4dr from Aussie Coupes. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about them. They seem to be on the up and up. I will try and post some pictures of the car if I can figure out how to do it. The car is $13, 500.00 landed in Seattle, United States. Any ideas on what they would pay for a car like this. It is in outstanding condition. Showroom I would say. Black interior. I know it's not the movie brown but I hate brown so I can live with it. Help!

Yeah we'd need to see a pic of it to have a stab at a price.

I've scrapped 3 xb sedans this year already & a neighbour up the road scrapped about 6 or 7 a few weeks back. The market here is going ballistic on gt falcons at the moment yet a rough "standard" falcon does not create much interest.

The cars seem worth more to wreck out than sell whole.

oh my god what's happened?

Makes sense guys. Here is the infor I've received. How the hell do you attach a picture? Here is what they said in there email.

Hi Dan,

Good news mate, our guys in Oz have found a car. Its a 1975 XB

Fairmont GS, 302 Cleveland, Auto and rust free.

We have organized an inspection and I think this car will pass with

flying colors. Your deposit is in transit to Australia and will be

there mid week next week. If the inspection passes we will lodge a

deposit and will need you to transfer the balance ASAP. He will

negotiate the purchase on the spot after the inspection.

Including inspection, internal shipping, cleaning, packing and all

customs paperwork we are looking at $13,200.00 landed in the USA.

This price is unnegotiated so it may change after the inspection.

cheers

Lawrence

Well the car seems to be the perfect base to redo as a yellow car.... Though it seems almost a shame to rub back that new or near new, white paint job!

Did they say how old the paint work is and who did it? (though there is no way to check up on the paint shop unless someone lives close by)

Of course there is the 50/50 chance that the paint job is brillient or that it may hide some undesirable repairs....

On the surface of things for $10000 is probably $1500 too much..... but that is neither here nor there....

But it is all there.... GS bonnet and driving lights... and having a white body means you only have repaint or rub back just the surface....

As for posting pictures.....

You need to have a hosting site.... Photobucket.com is the place to join..... create an account (its free) and upload your photos to it....

When you want to post them.... click on the 2nd last icon on the right (the one with the tree, next to the smiley face) in the Post Reply box.... A new small window appears....with the letters "http".....

Have the photobucket album open in another window.... and cut and paste the URL link of the photo you want , it will start with http as well.....

Paste that link in the box and click ok....

The photo will eventually appear on the post you are writting....

I thought they were scam artists..

Hmm,could this be a statement from some one that had them do a bunch of work on finding and inspecting a car BEFORE giving them a cent and then backing out of the deal to go with some one else, like a true owner of a penile extended that you purchased off Ebay?
