Hi Guys,
Not living too far from Steve Midgley's factory that fitted the original Concorde / Monza body kits back in the 70's, I decided to pop down there to see if the factory building was still in existance. It was, although looks like a storage warehouse these days. It was interesting to discover that this was also the location of the Motor Manual (May 1977 issue) cover shoot of the original Concorde Van !! Here's a couple of pics...............

Certainly is. I wonder what happened to this van and if it's still around somewhere ????

Isn't that the same van from "Running on Empty"?

There is indeed one in "Running on Empty", I think its a replica of the original Concorde concept van pictured above though.

I can't believe the #2 is exactly the same! Either that's some real good paint or they just kept painting over it. I see they also added the man door.
It's cool to find stuff like that, especially since the "2" is still there.

Thats about all you will see of the van on Running on Empty...
its a very quick glimpse and its gone, which is shame really.
