For those who missed it Emil Minty has joined the forum I would like to say hi Emil, thanks for visiting here and I look forward to seeing your posts.

After meeting you at B2TM and Easternats I am sure you have something to add to this board for those who were too far away to attend those events.

I'd like to welcome Emil aswell.

And as far as being to far away to attend: In my book there is no such thing as to far away as I am in good health to travel the entire globe. It's all a matter of the ammount of cash one can miss... Image

29,000+ miles in 18 days was just about enough for me. I'll do it again in about 2 years...money willing. It's not every day you get to eat with a movie star and the builder of your favorite car. It's pretty cool to have Emil on here with the rest of us. I feel honored.

Welcome indeed Emil. Although it seems it should be you welcoming us into a world that you are part of. It will be hard to resist pummeling you with questions but we'll let you get settled in first and you can spin a tail or two at you leisure. Maybe one topic for all your stories so you don't get asked things over and over (hint to Peter upgraded software could offer blog space).

I was gonna offer a warning about the way people behave on forums but you are the Feral Kid, no one has to tell you to hardin' up! Image

Thanks for the warm welcome, and yes welcome to my world as i am a part of MAD MAX but no more than you guys, as without you it would be nothing, just another flick.

I will try to answer all of your questions, even if it takes a little time. I`m not one of these people that have no time for this sort of thing it is just that I have a limited time to share with my family as I work pretty long hours as you all can respect and what little time I have I try to spend with them.....

Also remember I was only 8 years old when I was in broken hill filming MM2 so I don`t recall everything in detail, but have a few fond memories and alot of news since.

I am also a fan of MAD MAX 1 as I watched it at the drive in, in Broken Hill while filming MM2. And now I resite lines from the movie regulary in every day speech with my mates especially with Mr SCOTT SMITH you all know who he is.

I have had an amazing time since I started this BACK2THEMAX journey and will continue to do so as long as I am able...I do in time hope that you all of you get a chance to come to any of the events that the guy`s put on especially any of you that are overseas...because you will not only be living the MAD MAX life but it would be a great chance to see Australia...we have heaps to offer.

Soon as I work out how tho download pics and have time I will post some pictures from Easternats..

Just like MAD MAX has taken all, one of the movies in my life is the BOONDOCK SAINTS it has also a massive cult following and sucked me in thanks to Mr BILLY CONNOLLY and the whole cast including WILLIAM DEFOE...and the passion and respect that the two Irish Brothers (the boondock saints) have for each other...F`n Awsome...watch it if you get a chance...

Thanks again speak to all soon...

Hi Emil!

A big welcome from me too!

I was very surprised when i saw your first post here,

and i feel very honoured too.

After reading the first comments and seeing the first pictures

from the easternats, i decided that i have to come to one of the next meetings.

I was always fascinated by the charisma that australians nature has to me,

and visiting all the Mad Max 1 locations would be a definite highlight in my life.

If my wife would go too, i wouldnt hesitate to move to australia.

Now im putting every cent that is leftover away, and i really hope

i can come to one of the next meetings(2009, if there is any) .

Hoping that i can meet you and the members of this very nice community.

greettings from far, far away (Germany),

Dirk

I dont know, man..... I just got here meself!
