Damn awesome ride! I think the rims are ok, but not on a stock bodied car like that. I'd personally be feeling some Welds or Cragars. Leave the big wheels for the pro-tourers.

No no no Noooo dude, bigger rims don't nessesarily mean better handling.Look at those 15 inch minilites that the Trans Am Javelins,Camaros and Mustangs had back in the day. those rims on that falcon look gaudy on a 70's muscle car.especially with the old scool tunnel ram intake.

Well, Technically speaking it's not so much the rim Diameter that helps, It's lack of Tire Squish with a Lower Profile tire..

(And I have experimented with this on both the Baracuda and the Javelin. It works.)

Take two Javelins exactly the same.. One with the 15" Minilites and one with a set of 17" rims with say, 50 series tires the same width as the first car.

The Jav with the 235/50 ZR-17 tires is going to tear the F70-15 Javelin a new Tailpipe on a Road course or a paved Oval.

You know my preferences.. You know I prefer an Old School Look on cars and HATE Ricer crap..

But Be aware I'd have been Thrilled to find 16" rims & tires to fit the Javelin way back when..

Technology, man.. Technology.. Image

I do agree though, it's more about the tire profile than the rim diameter. If I ever met Foose in person I'd be more inclined to punch him out than shake his hand.
