They're around here somewhere. Just not posting as much as usual. People find other things to do though and lose some of their spare time spent on forums like these. some never come back. The real question is where is the really old gang from the old old board. Bloke with the bumless leather pants and those guys. They were here even before I found the site.

They are not about so much because they get more and more annoyed at the moderators behaving like children. I put a long and reasonably intelligible reply up here as to what was wrong, but the moderators deleted it in the familiar fashion. Booooooring!!!

Ive been around since the old-old (pre yahoo) white-type-black-background days forum, havent heard from the bloke with bumless pants in ages. Had a little bit of spare time of late so decided to see whats going on with the board.

When these forums first started, there was a massive spike of information exchange as everyone had something to offer or a question to ask. I think the board and mm page doubled in information in the first few months. 99% of posts were max Q and A related.

These days its settled down more into an average forum board with a variety of Max related posts, off topic posts and topical issues disucssed. I personally feel that there may not be much info left to discover that hasnt already been discovered, discussed or posted on the mmfaq. The faq itself has grown from a place to find out about mad max movies to be the focus of a small community of people who like something about the films.

Well I've been here since early 1999...perhaps not one of the 'originals' but long enough.

I asked Rock a while back if he was a supporter of "white power' and guess what.....yep that's right, NO REPLY! so for those that want to cry about things getting boring because 'rocks' posts are gone then perhaps you can join the KKK forums and get your precious lives back on track. We have a seperate section on this forum for 'heated' threads but when you are outright trying to push or recruit people into 'hate' groups then you simply are not wanted here. That's not just my wishes or the wishes of that other idiot moderator....it's the wishes of over 50 other members that e-mailed me expressing their disscust with one or two members that took things a bit too far. So you say things got boring on here....people not posting??? it's becasue of the reasons I've laid out above.

You want to talk political issues etc., then post in the 'thunderdome section' where it belongs...all other sections are Max related and that's that. believe me, I've got some sh*t in my live going on that I'd love bitch about but this is not the forum for those topics. So if Rock or anyone else would like to post 'MAX' related things then please go ahead as you have had great posts in the past not to mention some clean fun poking at others.

Nowt to do with his posts, forum is boring because it's so heavily moderated now. New section for off-topic threads? That's a bogus idea, there's too many underused sections to this forum anyway.

When did anyone try and recruit anybody into a hate group? Missed that one.

My main gripe with the over-moderation and the deletion of posts is that a community like this is quite capable of telling its members whether or not they are welcome here, we just never got to pass judgement because it was forced to stop. Rock wouldn't have been welcome if it had transpired he was an active member of a racist organisation with no actual reasoning behind what it did. But that should have been our call, not up to some moderators we've never seen before. Doubtless it was expected that we would all have gone "oooh, yeah, you're right and nobody's saying it's wrong so now I hate blacks for no reason as well" bollox, we'd have not allowed it to continue if we'd have found out what we'd wanted to find out, but you guys took it upon yourselves to stop it early so we couldn't. And all that reflected badly on EVERYONE thanks to the actions of you guys..

50 people emailed you in response to what was said? Wasn't that before you were even a moderator?

Tom, Those 50 or so people that e-mailed me all did so within a 3 day period and it was solely due to what Rock had posted. As for 'heavy' moderation...... I have to strongly disagree there. Posts have only been deleted if it contained serious 'hate group' material or underaged 'girlie' pics. There were some 'of age' girlie pics posted but then we had to ask ourselves, 'what does this have to do with mad max?'. I enjoy seeing a pretty face and or figure like most guys but when it's seductive slutty pics then that kinda crosses the line. A fine example is: one member here had a photoshoot with a girl washing his coupe, Her bathing suit was tight fitting and if I remember correctly there were some shots that did'nt leave much to the imagination but none of the pics posted had shots of her grabbing herself, sucking on a carrot, camel toe, or total nude. In a nut shell the pics were not the type of pic that guys would take into the bathroom with them (maybe some that were hard up) If he had posted pics with her doing 'nasty' things then they would obviously have been deleted as there are other forums for those type of pics. I am NOT saying that trashy and slutty pics are good or bad, this is just not the place for them. personally hie coupe did'nt need a girl to help show it off.

A personally know of one girl one here that no longer posts as she was constantly being hit on. She told me it felt like one of the cheap 'date line' things you see one TV so she just faded into the background. She still visits from time to time but not as much as she'd like to. WE just want to keep this forum close to topic but the movies were only 90 minutes in length so topics can run dry once in a while but that does not mean we can start posting total crap just for the sake of posting.

Everyone has also got to realise that Peter is paying for this website and most website servers in this day and age recognise laws,over most countries,that pertain to race hate /terrorist and porn legislation.

Whatever is posted on this forum is governed by a law/ruling,somewhere,sometime in the world and if the content contravenes a law,both the webserver and Peter himself can be held accountable.

Everyone missed the website and forum when it was off-line recently..........All it takes is one moron to post something purile and one person to complain......then no one can whinge about the moderators coz you aint got no forum at all.
