The American Graffiti cars are cool to. I stood right next to actual Yellow Deuce Coupe and Black Chevy when I met Paul Le Mat (Milner).

The Black Chevy in American Graffiti was originally one of the three primer-grey Chevys that were used in "Two-Lane Blacktop" starring Dennis Wilson and James Taylor. One of the Chevy's is still primer grey and fully restored to its original movie glory; one of the Chevys is the black Chevy from American Graffiti; the third Chevy was the one they crashed in American Graffiti (they used yet another car for the fire though); the crash car eventually met its fate in a car crusher. The one they lit on fire in American Graffiti was just a shell of a car that they got from a junkyard; it was a hardtop and the rear window post was just a piece of wood they stuck in there to make it look like the car they crashed.

I have the entire Toby Halicki collection; "Gone in 60 seconds" is by far the best; they are all worth watching for the crashes though; "Gone in 60 seconds 2" is impressive just for sheer quantity of crashes and carnage (gotta love "The Slicer"); unfortunately, Toby died on that one so its only 30 minutes long. Other good car movies are:
Vanishing Point
Two-Lane Blacktop
Dirty Mary Crazy Lary
The Hollywood Knights
Bullit
All of the Phantasm movies (not really car movies but I will watch anything with a 'Cuda; plus the movies kick ass).

I haven't seen the list in Hotrod Magazine, but here's a few more worth watching, if only for the car chases & stunts:
The Blues Brothers
Smokey & the Bandit
Hooper
The Wraith
Cannonball Run
Gumball Rally
Some of the James Bond films- can't remember which ones in particular, but you can't beat that corkscrew jump!

Ironically that 2nd 55 that was used in TLBT and Amer.Graffiti was recently restored back into the TLBT version and they even tracked down the glass doors used on the main TLBT 55 and put em on this one .

Bad Cop ... if you're a Paul Le Mat fan have you seen Aloha Bobby and Rose ... a Romeo and Juliet, lovers on the lam car flick from the late seventies? Le Mat has a souped up Comaro ('68?) that he street races and loses in a pool game. Quite a watchable film with a great soundtrack.

Bobby has a '68 Camaro and a dead-end job. Rose has a five-year-old kid and a nowhere life. One night, they meet, fall in love and share a dream of leaving the seedy side of Hollywood for the easy life of Hawaii. But when an innocent prank goes tragically wrong, Bobby and Rose are on the run from the law and for their lives. As they take to the highway, they find that paradise is just out of reach and that "aloha" can also mean "goodbye." Starring Paul Le Mat and Dianne Hull and featuring classic songs by Elton John; Bob Dylan; Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Jr. Walker & The All-Stars; and The Temptations. Special Features include: Theatrical trailer and talent bios. Time: 1 Hour 28 Minutes
