Yeah thats a pretty well known one dude, cool though that an American movie would even refer to it as MAD MAX, usualy they always mention the words 'ROAD WARRIOR'

Maybe this reference has been done to death too... though "reference" is perhaps a little tenuous. I watched Riegn of Fire last night y'know the one? about Dragons taking over the world and some gungho Yanks having to come and save us and the world (Sheesh if only

)
Anyways if there were ever a direct copy (rip off) of the opening sequence to Mad Max2 this is it! Perhaps the director was just paying homage to MM I dunno. It was good to use that style since it described a lot of events without having to actually show them and thus set the theme for the rest of the film.
Don't get me wrong though I really enjoyed the film.. I'd seen it before but it was about 3 years ago so the memory had faded somewhat, but still some great scenes special effects and action in it. Think I'd like the film to have gone on for about another hour exploring the ashen world as it seemed to be but hey I ain't complaining.

An episode of Neighbours aired in the UK today had Joe Mangel (yes he's back for no adequately explored reason!) looking over his daughter's boyfriends car engine whereupon he uttered the imortal words
"Raunchy, very raunchy, what's the donk like?"
Is this just a common expression of does every Aussie bloke lace their conversations with Mad Max quotes?!?
