Hi Everyone, I was at an Adelaide Model Show yesterday and bought the Cavalier Kit for $35 Aus. This seems cheap to me has there been a drop in the value because of that diecast coming out???

Hey Rock, The kit has been looked at, the small items, wheels tyres, etc were in a small money bag which wouldnt have come originally. Also the mirrors are glued to the body....

Overall for the price I am really happy with it, I also have 6 of the Aoshimas for comparison...

How are the Planet X kits in terms of quality, detail etc ?????

Also, are ther any other weird brands of kit around?, One of my Holy Grails at the moment is an old Fujimi "Interceptor" which was based on a Trans AM and was part of a set called "Mad Police"....

I personally love the PLANET X's the best, mainly for detail, they just have a little more 'effort' put into their construction than CAVALIER, plus they're not made by a company, their made by a guy (spoke to him on the phone years ago, just to thank him, for such cool, models, and he's a MAD MAX fanatic too, he really does care for them, and since has made both the YELLOW INTERCEPTOR's - MAX's and BIG BOPPER's, and a NIGHTRIDER vehicle, he also made a real cool HUMUNGUS model, before N2 TOYS made their figure line.) And i've always preferred GARAGE KITS to Company made ones (excluding SCREMIN' and HALCYON ofcourse)

But to tell you the truth, CAVALIER's is easier to assemble, and tougher, more stern, ya know - the PLANET X ones are a little brittle, you gotta be real careful with their construction, and alot is left up to you, like cutting out the windscreens to fit, which is damn tricky, you f**k up, and you've wasted your piece of see through plastic. The engine parts and sh*t, are a little difficult to get to fit too, theres alot of mini customising needs doing to get things to fit.
