Interceptor to LA video.....
Hey guys, Just finished watching the movie. Great. I liked the fact that Gordon went into great detail about the different components of the car, the differences and showed how the blower was set up. The blatent tire shredding was a plus in my book as well. And the nice shots going down the road listening to that engine growl. Very nice. Gordon, you have to finish the other tape. 160mph in that car would be breathtaking even on video. Thanks again for the movie.
The research continues......
Take care
Craig

Interceptor to LA video.....
Hi Craig.
I am glad that you enjoyed the video, the all up budget was only 2,000 AUD, (well not counting the cost of the cars!) and the film crew was two people for the most part.
I wish I had $10,000 AUD to play with!
But I am happy with the result all things considered.
I wish it could have gone onto DVD!
I am wondering if I will ever be able to afford to edit the first film. It could be years away at this stage.
I am to busy with replicas and my normal work to learn the editing process for my self.
There will be another video at some stage: I am going to film the build-up of the big block Interceptor, the (lack of) budget for the big block has prevented me from the 514 stroker engine that I wanted, so we are going with the 11 second motor that it had. I will be starting work on this my own car very soon.
The heads are now rebuilt, (yep 2,000 AUD) the cam is a 640 lift. It will run a Holley 1050 Dominator or 850 double pump not sure which yet.
We are looking for a 186 MPH replica, as in 300 KPH, if we made 160 MPH with the Cleveland the 180 + MPH might just be there with the big engine.
When finished I will be filming the replica in various situations, and in one situation we are for sure, going to be going fast!
Again I am glad that you liked the video. And thank you for the positive feedback!
Kind Regards
Gordon.
cheers

Interceptor to LA video.....
So Gordon
any chance of seeing it on Lake Eyre for speed week next year? It has just been run this year and according to Chris there was a falcoln coupe that hit the big 300km mark, but it would not look as cool as the interceptor would across the salt flats.

Interceptor to LA video.....
Gordon,
I wrote you a lot of times, a LOT - never been answered. Won't you like to write a "LAST V-8" cool section for my site? It has to be "fictional" in terms of writing, it HAS to contain ALL the technical data about the car itself, all the MODIFICATIONS Max made during the MM1-MM2 inbetween time etc etc etc.
I will insert the INTERCEPTOR PAGE in M.F.P The Chronicles... or will build a section apart (withe relative content link).
Then... does it sound like a bargain?
If it actually does... Let's talk... come inside...

Hi.
Ummmm, You wrote lots of time and I did not reply? Not sure, was it to mailto:interceptorbuilder@yahoo that you wrote, as in to me Gordon Hayes or to Last-V8, who is Scott Smith?
Scott does not bother with the internet very often. So he is not being rude, as a rule the internet is not part of Scott's life. Scott has an e:mail address but I don't think he uses it.
Give me a bit more info on what you need for your site.
Right now I am stretched a bit as I have a lot going on, (We have another replica build-up going on and we are on a deadline for the finish date). But all the same expand a bit on what you need and I will have a think on it. I am just to busy to "surf" the internet these days so can you tell me what is your website address?
Cheers
Gordon.
