Eh, at least he's honest. I don't care about the private lives of actors one bit. All that matters is the movies and Mel has done some damn good ones.

I don't care either.

I read it. I aplaude Mel for having the guts to say how he feels.

People feel how they feel and I agree it was gutsy of Mel to stand up and say that. But really I only care about what he does in movies, and he's made some damn fine movies. That's all that should matter.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, i don't care who it offends, you should not have to sit there and not put your point across, for fear of hurting other peoples feelings (or getting sued , ) all the time.
Besides MAX didn't say this MEL did, its of no concern to us.

In the end who knows.. it is media, I have dealt with media. Admittedly on a lower level but enough to know that they can take quotes right out of context, twist, miss-quote, lie, reshuffle quotes, re-assemble sentences. If they want controversy they create it, if they want placid they create it, if they want social comment they create it.
In the end believe nothing, trust nothing the media say.
Acknowledge it, keep an open mind but do not take it as absolute truth, as it seldom is.
The "juicer" the article it more it is worth to sell.
So a tiny element of truth, can become a mountain of media created crap.
But from what I read I think Mel has lost it if he thinks we are going to sit and watch a foreign language film with out subtitles.
It will be interesting to see how much truth is in that section of "fact".
Perhaps he might get away with it given that we all know the story anyhow.
Religion and belief are such a powerful things, people kill, maim, and murder in the name of there particular God every day. I would have hoped that Mel would have at least professionally kept right away from it all.
Wait and see I suppose.
As a foot note an Australian Magazine some years ago published an article (pictures and all) relating to an "Interview" they had with Mel Gibson. In the "interview" Mel had talked about his views on things, and his project's, all the normal magazine stuff. Mel later sued the magazine and the magazine printed an apology admitting that the interview never took place at all. They had never spoken with Mel. And the entire interview and article was a fabrication.
cheers

I watched that O'Reilly interview with Gibson. I'm also a Catholic and get slapped with the "traditionalist wacko" label just cause I want some of the old customs to come back. I don't force my views on anybody and jews don't even enter my thoughts. It's just my religion.
These people accuse Gibson of being paranoid. Well, don't they sound awfull yparanoid to you??? claiming he hates jews, etc. And if he has a dad who is a few place settings short of a picnic then why is that his fault.

Mel Gibson can truly do what he wants... he's not my cup of tea.
MAX is not MEL. I'm devoted to MAX. Mel is just a Max-looking like dummy in my book.
I'm scared about FURY ROAD and Mel's involvement, really... that's all!

That article makes it seem like like a three way holy war is about to break out in hollywood. We should take bets on which group will survive.
