Jessie should have survived....

Post by Hunter »

Hi guys, I am new here but a HUGE mad max fan. I found this forum a few days ago and have been reading it while bored at work. I cant find it now but a few of you were talking about Jessie dying or living and the doctors talking about her being salvagable.

I rewatched the first movie and I have to say that she lived from the accident. At least as far as the first movie is concerned. The 2 doctors are talking to the nurse and the one doctor tells the nurse "tell the husband that his wife is going to be ok". Then the nurse says that she doesnt think that max wants to talk as he has been standing there like a zombie all day.

I have never seen the part where max is walking away from the graves. What is that in? How did she die, if the docs said that she will be ok?

The doc was lying. He doesn't sound very sincere when he says "Tell him she's going to be OK."...

Also, when they say she's "slavageable" I took that as her organs are good for transplant. When all her injuries are read off it doesn't sound like anybody would survive from it. She was barely on life support.

Two graves are very present in the montage scenes of MM2. The narrator says "In the roar of an engine ...he lost everything"

As this is said ,Jesse and Sprog fall to the ground as seen in MM1. Clearly both are dead.

I always wondered if maybe Max just didn't have her unplugged from life support, and that maybe she could've lived, tho as a vegetable. I read tragic news articles all the time where people are forced to do this.

I think it will be FURY ROAD's secret, biggest revelation. I suppose it will be the SAGA's biggest revelation too. I guess it will be the KEY, the final clue, the words no one ever told you. The biggest words.

It will come full circle. Maybe Max will rejoin Jesse (still alive) SOMEWHERE, or maybe he will remember how he "killed off" her in need to let her spirit fly away from an almost dead body, finally free.

Both the theories could be possible (after all, we see two 'cross graves' - SPROG and GOOSE, and the "he lost everything" quote could be see as methaphorical... humanity is EVERYTHING to me).

I don't think FURY ROAD will have a thing to do with the past characters or incidents, as much as we'd like it to, i think it'll be one of those sequels for todays 'american pie / scream' audience, the bastards will cater to them, notice there won't be a 4 in the title, so try hard losers can just go and see it as a seperate movie and not have to do any research first, and go hire out those 'daggy' other versions.

I don't know what the american version of 'daggy' is, but the aussies should know what i'm on about. you know out of date, un fashionable, un cool. thats what all these little f**ks think of our movies now.

Yeah, but think of the Fast and Furious crowd coming up against die hard Mad Max fans on the road.

Opening scene of Mad Max 2 all over again...

"No, I don't wanna street race. Take your Hot Wheels and go home." BAM! "Shouldn't have drifted in front of me like that, huh? Now I need a new fiberglass nose and you need a new Honda..."

Crappy bloody movie that Fast & Furious, too much "NOS" on set I think! Everyone was sniffin' the stuff. Fancy building a serious "race" car and putting 500lbs worth of hi-fi gear in it, oh yeah, and only race IN A STRAIGHT LINE!!!!!!!

Got news for these kids- cars have steering wheels 'cos REAL roads have these things called corners! And real drivers look for roads with lots of them.

Don't get me wrong, I've found the top speed of my Suzuki Hayabusa on a long stretch of road called the Stuart Highway, which as most Aussies know, has no speed limit. At 310km/h, it really is a "white line nightmare", but quite honestly there's much more satisfaction controlling a slide at 100mph on a good gravel road, or throwing the car back & forth between the trees on a tight fire trail.

Anyone can drive forward in a straight line for 10 seconds, sh*t, even a chimp could do it with minimal training!

Fast & Furious- HA!!.......The scags don't rate! They're nothing like the Nightrider!

...and the Nightrider was clearly no match for Max, and that was before he got Mad!!

Oops, got sidetracked from the topic.

The photos Max leaves in Toecutters helmet & the one on the steering wheel indicate that Jesse is dead.
