A tad underused maybe??
And what exactly were those things on his back??
Also why didn't Nux slam the brakes on and send him flying off, instead of rolling the warrig??
Rictus Erectus
Re: Rictus Erectus
Oxygen tanks.
I think he felt the obligation to sacrifice himself but for the better good of the Wives, not Immortan.
The moment Rictus rips off the supercharger the War Rig is done for - it's rolling without any engines. If Nux slammed the brakes the Rig would just stop and I don't think it's that easy to roll a tanker at low speed. He's got to block the pass somehow after all.

Re: Rictus Erectus
I wonder if there were more Rictus scenes shot (obviously there's one in the deleted scenes) and not used. He is a great presence but he doesn't really do anything until the end.
Re: Rictus Erectus
He really stood out as a great character played by a great character to me. Totally underused and not given the death he deserved.

Scabrous Scrotus gets far more due in the Mad Max game than Rictus does in the movie.

One of my favourite bits is when he's just going nuts with the flamethrower and the Imperator is like: "Rictus, the wives! No more flames!"
Re: Rictus Erectus
LOL! I mean his death is all a bit silly. Him going over with Nux in the wreck was a sound ending, but him ripping off the supercharger was just embarrassing to watch.Immortan Joecutter wrote:Believe me, he deserved it!MWFV8 wrote: Totally underused and not given the death he deserved.

It was silly. So was Rictus

You can see the annoyance on Joe's face, his has a monstrous size son who has the mind of a child and would ruin everything he has accomplished so far.
I don't think they ever needed to say or domuch more with his character. I love the scene after Splendid dies, it just looks like Rictus is imitating Joe and pretending to be annoyed shooting his gun in the air. Wether that was the intention or not its what I took away.
I liked the throwback to Master & Blaster with him and Corpus.
