I wonder this; what with Miller's age, Hardys schedules, logistics etc plus the sheer time it took for Fury Road to arrive, its not difficult to imagine this somehow not happening
I don't want to be negative but somehow until preproduction starts I guess I will fear this not happening.
Honestly i'd be fine if we didn't get another MM movie. I still can't believe i got Fury Road and that it is as amazing as it is. Fury Road is the gift that keeps on giving and i will enjoy it for many, many years to come. It still astounds me that it actually exists and that it's the greatest film i've ever seen. If we don't get another MM movie, i have nothing to complain about.
That said, of course another would be absolutely awesome but if Fury Road is the last one we ever get, i'm totally fine with that.
I'd rather no film than one rushed out or done by someone else.
I have a strong feeling that we won't see another one but FURY ROAD was incredible. I've never enjoyed a film this much before and its ruined cinema for me now. I barely even go anymore now. The last few times I have I couldn't help but think how much better it would be if the Warner Brothers logo came up and the revved engine noise thundered out of the speakers.
I would be cool with a Furiosa "Begins" movie seeing how she lost her arm, a look at Gastown and the Bullet Farm, more about the water wars etc

I agree with you 100%, couldn't said it better.
When Miller is ready for another round, I hope they shoot the upcoming sequels back to back.
Ditto for me. I'd love to see more, but I don't think it will ever be the same as this.
Really didn't think it would ever happen and what we did get far exceeded expectations, especially when you look at how this sort of thing normally goes.
Fury Road just gets better and better with each viewing and is probably equal to - in a different way - MM2, as well as being one of the most critically revered films of all time. What more could we have hoped for?
The last 30 seconds of Fury Road have as much impact for me now as '...and the Roadwarrior? That was the last we ever saw of him. He lives now, only in my memories'
Maybe this time it will be, but let's be thankful. Very thankful.

Exactly my thoughts, I hope MM doesn't get ruined by money hungry producers and studios like so many other series have been. Nothing is better than something mediocre in this case I think.
as much as i agree with i hope they don't rush it, i'm constantly checking google for Wasteland news as i really want to see another one, personally fury road is one of the best films i've ever seen and would be interested on how they could possibly top that! it seems Miller is defiantly doing wasteland and that a script has been done but hasn't been greenlit? which is odd considering how well the film was received.

It was well received but did very average box office figures and has still to properly break even. I'm guessing only two things will see this greenlit 1) some staggering home sales 2) a few Oscar nominations. If it gets nominated - or even wins - the big one I'm sure production will start the following day, if not...George is going to be spending a few years with Superman.
Fury Road was really a great gift to cinema. After my first viewing, i can't watch another movie with as much goosebumps as this. The first time the WB logo came up and the revving engine roared from the speaker.... I already feel my adrenaline is pumping.
I don't even care if the sequel is less spectacular in terms of craziness but i just want another Max movie, and no Furiousa or other main character. Just the lone warrior exploring the wasteland with a bit of action here and there. To me, as long as the action is good, it doesn't need to be as bizzare as Fury Road, i'd watch it again and again.
