OK i will confess this is a total 3D nerd post. I absolutely love 3D and this may not interest those who are not into the format. It is very rare when a 3D movie decides to break out of the widescreen frame and have something extend across the black bars at the top and bottom but a few movies do it every now and then. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a moment, so does Sin City 2 and Life of Pi. In rewatching in 3D the other day (i still haven't watched it in 2D lol) i noticed a very brief moment where Fury Road does this. Just before Nux's car enters the sandstorm, when Max kicks Slit off, his right foot comes out of the widescreen frame. It's really cool in 3D and looks great, but it happens so fast, blink and you'll miss it.

This is obviously something George would have specified for this moment. It's a great little touch and the icing on the cake in what is an absolutely superb 3D conversion. Nerdy observation over!
