At the moment the owner of the Mad Max Museum at Silverton is excavating the compound site on the old location near Broken Hill , they are digging up all sorts of treasure , I thought I'd make this post for non Facebook members ( and why isn't the owner not a member here ?)
As you may or may not know all sorts of stuff was buried at the compound site after filming MM2

Re: Maxcavation at Silverton
Isn't that the museum of Adrian Bennet? He's a member of the forum, but not active anymore for quite some time unfortunately.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

To give a little bit more background:
The site was excavated in agreement with local aboriginal elders in order to cleanse the sacred land as priority. But also in the process they'll be digging up some awesome RW artifacts. Some more stuff they dug out:
Compound entrance spotlights Base mount and sheild from the flame thrower Mel Gibson's alcoholism Camo netting used in the compound

Hi, the excavation was not in Silverton but at the Pinnacles, where the compound was built. It's the two front moats that have been excavated.

Re: Maxcavation at Silverton
Actually, the Pinnacles site is a few miles from Broken Hill, and have nothing to do with Silverton

Re: Maxcavation at Silverton
Yes, it's not important, but your topic says "maxcavation at Silverton", and it's definitely not. This excavation took place where the compound was built, and it was not in Silverton. The movie was shot near Silverton, at Menindee Road, at the Pinnacles, at Stephen's Creek... and it's all different places. If you don't want to be specific, say "Broken Hill", but Silverton has nothing to do with the Pinnacles. So ok, it's not important, but it's a mistake.
