Erm, Deathproof is a revenge story. It doesn't show women and men working together to improve both their lots.

I think some folks around here might need to do some thinking about what feminism is, because it isn't about just bashing men, or being awesome at kung-fu. It's about making life better for both men and women, through genuine equality, choice, and freedom.

Mad Max 1 is a revenge story, Fury Road includes revenge but that isn't anywhere near the focal point of the movie.

I don't see why this discussion is even necessary. We all know that all MM movies were about survival first and foremost and it never mattered if you're male or female, old or young. To put it simply - everyone's equally fucked. Throughout all those years I never even labelled this equal opportunity ass kicking wasteland that Miller created. Does it even need to be labelled? Is it suddenly some kind of cultural shift or a new trend in movie making? Hell no. The same things were said in 1981 when RW came out with Warrior Woman in it. And in 85 when Tina Turner was the main villain and a strong character. What's changed since then in MM movies? Nothing.
But suddenly with FR all the armchair activists can't shut up about feminism in FR when it's in the whole trilogy from the start. Where were they when the first 3 movies came out?
Now everyone's up in arms about Fury Road and feminism and it attracted the attention of absolute morons parading as 'feminists' complaining about too many male faces in Furiosa #1 comic book, like their ramblings are going to change anything. What a pointless discussion, if you can even call it that.

That's what im sayin Taipan why is the Mad Max movies all of a sudden getting some odd attention like this when theres other similar movies. Was just funny to me. I didn't really care that much about it, plus most of my life ive known lots of women who like the Mad Max movies. Including my Mom. And nots just for the strong women roles. Hell most chicks like young Mel Gibson. lol
