His original Mad Max 2 Interceptor/Pursuit Special went smashed outside the road, but people tend to forget it EXPLODED just because it was BOOBY TRAPPED. Otherwise, it would have been just damaged, but not dead.

Max's vehicle in Thunderdome was so powerful and resistant that in a hand-to-hand collision with Ironbar's BIG FOOT vehicle, it survived. Damaged, yes, but it survived very well I would say, while Ironbar's vehicle just went cut in half and Ironbar died along the ripped off cockpit, below Max vehicle's weight.

So I think the Silver Interceptor is just Max's weakest vehicle, since it exploded without even being booby trapped.....

Well you could argue that there is no silver interceptor, there is only Razor Cola. Max lost BoB fair and square, Wasteland style and he was reborn. I think Miller was making a point with this in terms of where the new Max is at.

Razor Cola may well be the second coolest car in the whole movie, it has a human powered nitro injection system on the bonnet.

Also the Razor Cola got crushed between 2 trucks first then exploded.

Plus if you add the fact that the razor Cola was its second life having already suffered considerable body damage being rolled in the beginning it thin it did pretty good.

well dont forget that it had two Propane tank's on the back that maybe helped it blow up.

Yes the tank would have added extra incendiary, but Max's Interceptor was lanced by a War Boy - just as they did throughout the tanker chase.

According to my inside source those tanks were land mines not fuel tanks , you can see there are no hoses running to them , think WW2 sea mine , still explosive tho
