I have seen Fury Road about a dozen times now, and I swear that there are a few scenes where Hardy's voice is dubbed over. Especially the scenes where Max is attached to the front of the car towards the beginning of the film. Its clear as day that it is not Tom Hardy saying these few lines,.... lines like "First they take my blood, now my car!" and "Hey thats my head!" Like it almost sounds like they called in Mel Gibson to say these lines!! It sounds NOTHING like Tom Hardy, or at least the crazy deep, and drawn out voice he used for Max in the film. Also, there is some shots where Hardy is just "mouthing" words, yet no words are spoken. Am I the only one who has noticed this?? lol

The reason his voice probably sounds different is because he's yelling as opposed to just speaking in his normal 'Max' voice.

I found his normal voice to be rather odd....or perhaps not what I was expecting at all. Should 've been more Aussie. My only criticism of the film.

I thought it didn't sound overtly English or was an attempt at an Aussie accent it was nuetral , I'm sure the scenes where he is talking while strapped to the car are dubbed , it would be near impossible to record over all the background noise especially Nuxs car which I have heard in real life and its bloody loud

I thought the same thing - it sounds almost nothing like him and for me didn't sit well at all in the scene. It was almost certainly done as ADR (additional dialogue replacement) well after the fact because they either didn't record him at the time, or didn't get a good enough recording. While I'm sure it was still Tom Hardy doing the ADR, perhaps it took place a long time after the shoot, and so he found it hard to get back into the character and environment while sitting in a booth in LA.

I thought i was the only one noticing this. Not something to be worry about but sometimes when he yells, it does sound different.
