Furiosa wrote:Just shows you that virtually every shot in this movie has CG enhancement. I wish they would stop with all the hype about "this isn't a green screen movie and we did everything for real".
Sure the cars were real but this movie could not have been made without the CG to put it all together. The scenes where Max is hanging upside down while Furiosa is holding him and when he is hanging from the pole were both filmed on stationary vehicles.
I guess maybe in some cases the lack of CG was exaggerated, many of those are the community and reporters and such though.
Awhile back I was showing a friend some trailers and I said to him something like:
"They used as little CG as possible..."
To which he replied something like:
"No, they could have used none."
Obviously I didn't mean it that way, but it gives you an idea of how someone like me who was deep into it expresses things that aren't technically true.

Great pics , still those are real cars , real crashes with enhanced backgrounds nothing wrong with that , its not like cars in F&F parachuting out of the back of airplanes now that is CGI bullshit

A lot of those mountains and canyons added in were matte paintings and composited in to the shot and that's old school.
And if you want close ups of your main actors in the actor you have to shoot them stationary, because insurance wouldnt let you take those chances with them and its not worth potentially killing an actor just to get the shot.
They did that a lot on the Road Warrior too/

Absolutely unbelievable!
I had no idea there was THIS much Cg in the movie and by the looks of this it was perfect.
Thank christ it didn't go like say Titanic or King kong - those things are terribly obvious!
