I thought of MadMax whenever the T101 stomped the brakes and the pursuing pilotless cop cars zoomed around the Tundra. It was exactly as Max had done at the start of MM2.

Many good echoes in the movie.

Hi.

Still on films, I am yet to see Terminator 3, but I did catch the last half of an interview with Russell Crowe on Aussie TV last night.

Russell gave a great interview, he seems to have Hollywood in the right context and the correct perspective.

As the Interview was Un-cut, he was able to have a go at almost every thing that has been written about him, it seems that 99% of it is crap or just plain out of context.

The spoke about Gladiator a bit.

Anyhow.. Russell and Ridley Scott appeared to work well together, the battle line "Strength and Honor" from Gladiator was not scripted, it was in fact the English translation of the Latin Motto from Russell's secondary school (age 12-17) from way back in Australia when he was a school kid teenager. During the filming Russell suggested the line to Scott who liked the idea and they went with it!

Also: Nice looking Girl in your picture Bubba.

Stuff like that is really 'That was awesome' sort of stuff. I doubt anyone involved with Mad Max 4 will ever read this, but I think this is the way Fury Road should start off:

The opening title, in the old shakey grey on black like Road Warrior's intro credits:

Mad Mad: Fury Road

Fade into an in-car view (Maybe a new Interceptor? I'm sure it'll get people going 'Oh hell yes.') of Max asleep against the wheel, with the Ink Spot's "I Dont Want To Set The World On Fire" playing. slow pans around the sides and front of the car(with fades from each pan), then a pan out from it, with some raider bodies lying around, one ran sacked and lying against the car. Some smolding remains of their automobiles lying about in a close-distance. Slow pans across their faces and more along the car, some of the smoldering remains, too. Then a pull-in back into the interior of Max's car, up to his face, then maybe a quick flash of black and white of the part when his wife and kid got run over by the gang in the first film, and a womans scream with the music cutting off abruptly then. Max wakes up out of his dream startled, starts up the car, and the camera pans out as he makes a dusty drive into the wasteland. Start intro background dialog...

What do you think?

More...we require more......

T3 had many echoes from the previous movies. T101 stepping on the sunglasses, the search for clothes, the stoic driving, etc.
