I'm thinking 250-350 million worldwide which is much better than Dredd.

MM1 & 2 are two chapters of the same book.

MM3 is another book entirely, hence the differences.

I like that FR seems a mix of all three movies -- with the incredible post apocalyptic design of the third mixed with the high octane voltage action of 1 & 2

funny, I think definitely not the same. If we don't think about the quality of the movies, MM2 & 3 share more stuff. They are both Campbellian movie, share the same character, the "road warrior" are in the same universe. Mad Max 1 is something quite different.

There's a lot of 'WRONG' with this one in particular, but I love Cinema Sins so I'll give them a pass. Some of the things they got wrong off the top of my head:
  • Max got hit by a plane because it was gliding with the engine off. They turn on the engine right after Max gets the wheel to the dome.
  • Confused Jedediah with Gyro, classic.
  • There's a guy with a shotgun right behind the one flailing knives, so yeah they do have long range weapons in there. Agreed about the pointlessness of that Raiders of the Lost Ark shit (apparently someone saw that actor flailing those knives on the set and decided to put it in the movie because it looked cool)
  • I thought Tina Turner's acting was pretty damn good! Wanna see a singer butcher her role in a movie? Watch Battleship with Rihanna lol

Well, wish I hadn't taken the bait now. I'm pretty sure there'll be genuine opinions from people here matching what BoB/Lead Counsel had written though. Like Filmist said, I do think this is going to divide people. Always thought that after seeing the rough cut.

On another note, I'm seeing commercials on TV now with direct quotes from reviews thrown in, despite the embargo. Wish they'd just let the reviews come in.

Yes, this embargo is rather curious, since every critic seems to be chomping at the bit to say how brilliant and game-changing the film is. This is an odd marketing ploy, Warner Bros.

Apparently the embargo has been brought forward a day to Monday morning, so not long to wait for them.

One critic I follow on Twitter though the embargo was due to the agreement with Canne Film Festival at which it play on the 14th there.
