Re: Last V8 features in Unique Cars Magaizine
Thanks mate,
A nice read. For some reason the link to the last page isn't working correctly. It just opens the first page of 'The Other Interceptor" article.
I even remember popping into The Hard Rock Cafe in Sydney years ago to view their black car. Got any stories on that particluar version?

I've edited the page, the link to the last page should now be working.
I don't think Hard Rock Cafe had a car, there was one at Planet Hollywood, which is now some other name (I can't recall the name, and have not been in there since - Star Bar or something). The car was a replica, it was apparently built in the US - someone did send me the details once. The story went something along the lines that he was commissioned to build a couple of replicas for these restaurants, and was a bit stunned when one of them ended up being installed in Sydney, just down the road from Kennedy Miller. Worse still, it was originally attempted to be passed off as an original (it turns out that a lot of the "props" in Planet Hollywoods were in fact replicas, some built by the original makers, some not).
Given when it was built, it was a pretty decent job - this was before anyone else (fans) had built a replica, so whoever built this had done some good research to obtain the required parts. Everyone else was still struggling at the time. I believe the car was lifted in with a crane when the building was constructed for Planet Hollywood - it's not ever coming out of there in one piece.

Ah yes,
It was indeed Planet Hollywood back in the nineties. My wife still has the t-shirt I bought her during my quick visit. The drinks prices were outrageous!

I just scored a copy of Australian Muscle Car Issue 55,

A terrific read but now I'm on the hunt for Unique Cars Issue 281. Anyone have one available and willing to offload?

Cheers!

The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

I do have some copies of this, PM me or email me if you're interested. Let me know where you are located - the postage is usually a killer from Australia (usually postage costs at least twice the price of the magazine).

Didn't realise you were in Melbourne, thought you were overseas for some reason...!
Within Australia postage is the same anywhere, let me find the magazines, and I'll let you know.
