My thought exactly.

Apparently they are demo'ing the game on the floor.

Then there's this.

And the guy who was talking in that video was Frank Rooke, creative director at WB Games. I presume he took to place of Barlog on Mad Max.

Seems to be behind closed curtains too going by WBGames tweet which means probably no recordings of the demo. :(

FatShady ‏@FatShadyLive
Saw Mad Max presentation. The display had aussie road signs but the devs only confirmed southern hemisphere..

FatShady ‏@FatShadyLive
Mad max dev confirmed that if you can read the stars you can determine where its at. Specifically asked for southern cross. He only smiled.

Joab Gilroy ‏@GAJoaby 1h
@FatShadyLive word on the street is it's not Australia

FatShady ‏@FatShadyLive
@GAJoaby yeah it didnt look aus more a fictional dessert???

Dan ‏@dkzeitgeist
@FatShadyLive Aussie accents!?

FatShady ‏@FatShadyLive
@dkzeitgeist nah not that I got. Just surprised because of obvious aussie road signs at the display. Like why them if its not AUS..

Dan ‏@dkzeitgeist
@FatShadyLive NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Henry Gilbert ‏@hEnereyG
Mad Max's gameplay is like Just Cause, but far grittier. It's more shooting people point blank with a shotgun, less infinite parachutes
Doc SoCal ‏@Doc_SoCal
Mad Max looks very interesting. Sat in on a preview. For pre-alpha this looks good and may be worth the 20 year wait...

And the physics aren't quite right - the car looks to handle like a ricer of about half the weight. Not by any means terrible, but for anyone who has driven one of these in the flesh, it just doesn't look quite right to me in the video.

We only have pics of the Interceptor at that charity event , so the one or 2 fuel tank debate is still up in the air really , I still find it strange that vehicle was used when so many other ones would have sufficed , I mean this is the golden egg , maybe it was as I suspected a " bait car " put there by a very pissed off Miller after all those photo leaks , or maybe the fact that it only has one tank is to show that this is not a car that could have been in MM2 and to save any gnashing of teeth by fans trying to fill in the dots.

If the game images can give any clues we can see Mad Max by the sea near large devastated cities fitting in with other parts of the story so far , I wonder about that large propeller thingo in the shots though ( not the blimp ) its massively to big , WTF is it ? it's not a ship , aircraft dont have propellers like that , maybe it's a sub but the scale is just way outta whack IMO , probably just for dramatic effect :?

No multiplayer sucks a tad but I suppose we all can't be Mad Max . looking forward to it nonetheless . time to upgrade the old box I thinks :ugeek:

Perhaps because it's not actual gameplay but rather CGI animation created specifically for the trailer. ????

Surely an animated trailer's where they have the time to get it right.
Everything from the physics of the vehicle to the boot stepping out feels wrong.

As for Max looping back to run him over... seems out of character to me.

I'm as cynical as they come but you're being a little too nitpicky over a CG teaser trailer that was likely made by a studio separate from the one developing the game itself.
