Ahhh Junkers88 the mystery continues... a story is unfounded until it is proven. Just cause you say it happened doesnt mean it did happen. You werre asked how you knew and you are avoiding the question. So I will ask you again Ricky, how does a 35 year old guy from Albuquerque NM know about this story when the fans closer to the scene dont.
I find your posts intersting. A fan that joined and posts almost exclusively on MM4 news and George Miller, thats not the normal, well I can say you are the only one who has done this. You are well educated and express yourself well, probably a teacher. You are no fool but perhaps didnt estimate the impact a throw away line would have.
Now I have your attention can you tell us where or from whom you heard the story about the guy and the replica......
Gestapo - you way underestimate me, my friend

My point is ... Does George Miller care what the hardcore fans say or think?
My assumptions are based on a history of how the guy operates. How does he produce? How does he handle discussion of previous movies. He is the archetype of the classic creative auteur. Does George Lucas listen to the fans? Does Spielberg open the gates of discussion on his new movie? You know the answer. Why would Miller do the opposite? He seems to be more protective and guarded than them all. I suggest that he's probably been burnt more than most directors. THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK. CONTACT. BABE PIG IN THE CITY.
How many of you have spoken to the man about any project?
Can anyone recollect a circumstance where he has contacted the community? Posted on AINT IT COOL NEWS (as Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone secretly did on DIE HARD 4 and ROCKY BALBOA respectively..). There certainly appears to be nothing here I have read here on the premier discussion sites. Why was there no synopsis available for FURY ROAD when that was rolling the first time? And what about JLA? They are about to shoot and there is not a word about plot or even the way they are approaching it.
Why not answer those questions first? Isn't this thread really about how to contact George Miller?
I say he's not the kind of guy that is interested in what the fans think.
It seems that this is a bitter pill that no-one wants to accept.
Why not answer these questions people?
Make up your own mind from researching what we really do know about the man.
Share your experiences.I look to be proven otherwise.
Its easy for you all to you fixate on an Black Coupe Camping incident that I cannot presently prove.
But think about it this way. If everyone is fanatic about building full scale replicas and dedicated about anniversaries treks to Broken Hill (that Miller doesn't even acknowledge!) do think its out of the ordinary at all that a guy took his black XB and parked it out there everyday because as he thought he had a shot?
We all know Miller is secretive and extremely private.
FURY ROAD is possibly going to re-shape and reinvent the genre. Maybe for another trilogy even.
I suggest from everything we know about him already that doesn't need input for the fans. Its written already...

Well it was a simple question asked Junkers... and you avoided it in the same way a pollitition does.
First the car was an Interceptor.... next you refer to it as a black XB coupe.
As one of these "freaky" fans im curious to know WHERE YOU heard this story from. And you still avoid the questions thrown to you and go on about Miller and wether he cares what the fans do or dont do.

I cannot tell you whether is was a black XA XB GT XC. Replica or not. A "black Mad Max V8" so that is what I called it an V8 Interceptor. It was mentioned as
I thought it would be popular knowledge in these circles as it was such a public display. Try Kings Cross Police Station. I am sure they'd have recollection. Until someone else can confirm it then sure- its dead in the water. That does not bother me one bit. If you want to start your own thread about the said incident - go for your life.
This thread is titled
GEORGE MILLER and its about contacting him.
It was brought it up simply as a point of proving why George Miller is not receptive to random MM fanaticism.
But I have plenty of other examples that everybody is ignoring. Why?
1.
Why do we know nothing about the plot of FURY ROAD when the final script was given the green light almost 5 YEARS AGO.
2.
Has anyone EVER had correspondence with him on MMIV. Whether email forum or at convention pub/party?
3.
And most importantly why did George Miller did not attend any of the anniversaries in Broken Hill?

sorry somewhere in that post i missed the bit where you said where YOU heard he story..... how do you know about it. I simply include that question as a way of showing how some people post stories to prove their point without provding any evidence that it actually occurrred. Even if it did occur it is an example of how far actors will go to get a part rather than fans obsession. Like saying Lance dressed up as the terminator with foil on his face to get the part was an example of sci fi fans being obsessive.
Sadly it appears we both will have our quetions unanswered

Hey Ju88 lost an engine did we?
I dont get why your avoiding the question?????? Its quite simple..... where did you hear/ read the story about the "actor" and the "replica" outside Millers office?
1. Why do we know nothing about the plot of FURY ROAD when the final script was given the green light almost 5 YEARS AGO.
Maybe someone does know about it and maybe they are swore to secrecy... shock horror !!!
2. Has anyone EVER had correspondence with him on MMIV. Whether email forum or at convention pub/party?
Since the post was about contacting him.... and since no one on here replied "yes they have spoken to him".. Doesnt that answer the question?
3. And most importantly why did George Miller did not attend any of the anniversaries in Broken Hill?
More importantly??? Does George Lucas go to Star wars conventions???
