Holden's are great little cars, I enjoy the ones I have/had Image

I'm a Ford guy, but I grew up in a Holden family so I guess I like both. The cars I have in my garage are Ford and GM!

When I lived with my parents, dad had his LX Torana in the garage, and my XB was in the driveway. Two cars from the same era that once battled it out on the racetrack in the 70's.

Rick...that sight sounds familiar, but instead of Ford/Holden, my place is more Valiant/Holden,lol..

But a Ford has snuck into the mix now and then.. Image

What do your neighbours think about all these Aussie cars in the driveway? The Charger looks awesome.

The neighbors think it's cool when ever some more 'different' cars make thier way over... we'll see what they say in the next couple days when I get the container unloaded and a couple other toys home...lol

I have some US stuff around now and then too..stuff getting exported or working on,etc. Got a '69 Camaro in the shed at the moment getting all late (2000) model suspension, LS1/6 speed,etc...

The Nightrider Monaro is NOT a HQ LS Monaro.

The base car is an HQ Monaro coupe.

The HQ Monaro came in three models. Monaro Coupe, Monaro LS and Monaro GTS. I think we are all agreed that it is not a GTS. The Monaro coupe was at Kingswood trim level and the LS at Premier trim level.

The differentiating features are:

Monaro Coupe 2 headlamps Black Plastic Dash Monaro badge on dash

Monaro LS 4 headlamps Woodgrain Dash MonaroLS badge on dash

Other LS features Vinyl roof ( A delete option but most had them), A stainless trim under the doors along the sill. Chrome trim on bootlid (not visable on the NR car as under the rear spoiler). Loop pile carpet ( Rubber mats in Monaro coupe ... as seen when NR brakes heavily ... carpet optional).

So here is my argument.

The NR car has two headlamps, no vinyl roof, a kingswood dash, no stainless sill trims and rubber mats.

[sic]

Third pic is a screen capture of the NR car's dash. It is very clearly the painted plastic dash of the base model. The Monaro badge is also obvious despite having a piece of blue camera tape stuck across it.

Fourth Pic is the Monaro LS dash as seen in a HQ sales pamphlet.

In the next post is the HQ range chart (some clown has drawn a spoiler on the boot of the Monaro coupe)

[sic]

There is, however, a very clear shot of the Monaro charging toward the camera just before the blue bongo van pulls out where it is clear that the flares ... seen in the MFP garage scene ... are still fitted to the passenger side. The front flare can later be seen damaged and flapping about.
I can see you really present your argument. I did managed to make the dashboard capture posted at 1972 Holden Monaro LS [HQ] but still have this mistakely listed as LS trim form :|
