O.K...sorry...the Question was a bit cryptic...but this is the pattern I've seen..
The best car you've guys have had has been an old junker that you don't really care how abused it gets....(including Biker's Ex who sound's like she'd need a new set of rings by now)
'Rice burners' look as boring as batsh*te..but go for ever (excluding the mitsu's...good heads-up on that one Fox)
Polish cars make the 'Rice Burners' look sporty..
electrons travel near the speed of light...but are still slower than one of Bart's retorts..
Robin Reliants HAVE made it to the 'town' I was born in....(gee that tree's really grown)
..I've been hearing good things about the PT Cruiser...
Thanx guys...I'll let you know what I get.....

i love seeing some redneck at the track with his tough chevelle get schooled by some rice burner....dont get me wrong,i love good old american muscle but its sad when they are beaten by a dodge omni with a turbo...
Yes only'rednecks'own tough Chevelles and I haven't seen a damn Dodge Omni or Plymouth Horizon in years.the Shelby one was quick but its yet another teeny car with a turdblow to make it do what a lager V8 muscle car can do naturally aspirated.Gimmie a 79-83 Fox body stang and a couple grand and I can do more than your imports can with 20+ grand

"Gimmie a 79-83 Fox body stang and a couple grand ..."
A mate of mine's got an early model escort with a 'Clevor' in it...driving a Lenco down to 5.88's......he reckon's the "steering gets a little light during launches"...Yeah...I tell him..that'll happen when the front wheels are 2 feet off the ground!"
Being such a short wheel base (not as short as a Gremlin though Bart) it really gets squirmy....I never realised how much till he put a passenger seat in and took me for a few runs....through my blurred vision (the accelaration was flattening my eyeballs) it looked like we were in a 'tankslapper' would that send us into the wall.....next thing we were at halftrack pushing upto something rediculous like 180MPH!!..those little Escorts were never designed to go that fast...
just to take the piss outta the guys that run auto's he's got a sticker on the car that says "Only bicycles have 2 pedals"........the cheeky bugger!

I cannot stand riced out cars with fart pipe exhausts. They sound like lawnmowers and more often than not nothing's been done to the engine. I like old school musclecars a lot, but nothing compares to a good old vintage road racer that ain't got all that useless bullsh*t like a radio, air-conditioning, heating, real glass windows, seatbelts(safety harness is better), room for more than two people, and all that CRAP that lines the interiors of cars today.
The car that James Dean died in? That's a f**king car! Love the Porsche 550 Spyders.
If I wouldn't have wanted to build a high performance electric so much, I'd be building my own BoB out of an imported Aussie Falcon, but I like small cars a lot better, so long as they are the impractical/racing kind of small and not the sh*tbox kind of small.
My two dream cars are a Lotus Elise and an Opel Eco Speedster. I can't afford the first and the other isn't for sale, so that Triumph is the next best thing given my budget, and I'm glad to say that its performance could be quite comparable when finished.

Avoid ANYTHING made by Mitsubishi before 2000.
(Yes, that 2.2 in that Omni is a Mitsu)
...that's right..but all the early OMNI bodystyles ( Dodge Charger 2.2 ) had a 2.2 Volkswagen block that would also lay down good e.t's when turboed and often times outlasted the crappy body.. the first GHLS's were done by SHELBY for this bodystyle..yeah , the Omni..was GONNA be a sports car....at one time

Get those damn Dodge Omni's away from me! Dodge Omni means to avoid everything, not get in the way of a marauding Falcon!!!! (5.7...he knows what I'm on about)
The only "power" options I have in my XB, sit in front of the firewall and through the bonnet. No A/C, no pwr windows, no pwr locks, no pwr seats, and I can't hear the radio above the engine noise, so it's gone too...besides, it all just adds weight and slows me down...
