That's the Road Boss again, but good theory, I think you're right!

In the context of the movie, it could of just broken down, been too slow to keep up, crew lost in the dust devil and abandoned, or anything. Although surprisingly enough, I just noticed it actually does appear on a promotional image of the Citadel carmada!

I don't know about anybody else, but the more unmodified vehicles look so freaking good to me. Maybe it just seems more real when it's something you recognise.

This exactly. For some reason they make a bigger post apocalyptic impression than the wacky contraptions driven by most folks in this movie. It's sort of like a throwback to RW and MM with those unmodified vehicles, puts back that kind of grounded realism into this whole madness.

I wish there were more photos of this one (Buzzard FX buggy). It seems to have been universally left out of the book/dvds/docos etc.

FX...Holden FX? How did you know? I have been trying to identify that for a long time! .-.

It was a minor vehicle though, briefly seen before getting smashed by the other buzzard car, then spent the rest of the movie as a hulk on top of the Road Boss auto carrier trailer (behind Elvis)

Sure, it was a minor role, as were most of the buzzard cars, but it was onscreen longer than many of the others. As for how I know the model, one of the fellows who worked on the cars (not the buggies) said so somewhere on this Forum when I was asking about it. I'm pretty sure the donor vehicle was taken from a property around the corner from me. It vanished right about the correct time, as had (as far as my memory recalls) the same markings. "Plum dinger"

I don't recall exactly where it was from but quite possible, we got cars from all over the country (all over the world actually lol) It had Plum Dinger painted on it, looks like it was a speedway car. Also it's a 48-215 (FX).

It could be before the spikes were added , heres a side pic of it here http://furyroadvehicles.blogspot.com.au ... cle-2.html
I think it that same pic Miller is looking at another Buzzard car before it had spikes ( out of shot )

Update : Just checked the doco and by the looks of the suspension tree and the grill I reckon the Holden above is the 2nd Buzzard saw car that tries to cut the War Rigs tyres
