The opening scene looks almost like its 100% CGI.... The absolute high res is just something to be admired, this would be scarey in 3D!
You would be totally immersed into it.

The Blu Ray is going to be gorgeous! Completely forgot this is going to be in 3D too. I wonder if based on the reaction online and at Comic Con if Warner Bros. will push to get FR in IMAX even if it's for a week?

It appears Max is standing at the start trying to find any transmissions on a radio. The random bits we hear are more than likely his own memories or part of the storytelling to explain why things are the way they are. When the radio goes silent we're brought back to the "real world" and the chase is on. That's just how I interpreted it.

I am absolutely disgusted that he stomps on the lizard for no good reason. What a sickening act of animal cruelty, and what a horrible message to send to potentially impressionable young viewers.

And please don't give me any bullshit about how it's consistent with Max's character or the world he lives in, because he never harmed the Gyro Pilot's rattlesnake, and he had a symbiotic relationship with Dog and with the monkey in Thunderdome.

This is really a foul thing, to so casually present the needless killing of an animal for stylistic reasons.

Good news:
Only the psychotic ones. The ones that would've done it regardless of the movie they watched. If you seriously think that just every kid out there is a ticking time bomb that'll start murdering animals because of a movie they saw you clearly have no idea how this kind of behavior works.

I can't tell if flightsuit is for real or goofing on us. People (including children) are killed, maimed, even raped in all the Mad Max movies. But a 2-headed cgi lizard is quickly stomped out and you're taking the high road now? Again, are you for real?
