Re: Fury Road Release Date?
In recent memory World War Z was delayed at least a year for reshoots. They even went back and changed the whole last act of the movie long after the originally intended release date. I thought it still sucked but they made a ton of money and are already working on the sequel.
Re: Fury Road Release Date?
A;ot of movies sit finished on the shelf for a year or more for alot of different reasons. Some good some bad. Reshoots are very common as well. I'm guessing with how long it has taken to get this started George Miller wants it to be exactly what he wants it to be.

I understand a lot of movies get released a year or maybe a year and a half after principal shooting but we're talking a whole different animal here with MM4. As it stands right now, we're looking at least 2+ years, possibly 3.
What other movie even meets the two year mark?

Cabin in the Woods and Red Dawn are 2 that comes to mind. Filmed in finished in 2009 released in 2012. I know there are alot of others. More than you realize. I read reviews in a couple of newspapers and one reviewer mentions whenever a movie has sit on the shelf for a while. Usually when it's been a while, kickherintheguts wrote:I understand a lot of movies get released a year or maybe a year and a half after principal shooting but we're talking a whole different animal here with MM4. I can see good reason for Cabin and Red Dawn release delays, the studio(MGM) was in the midst of a financial crisis..which harks back to my earlier mention of the reason behind Robocop 3's delay.Bomber wrote:Cabin in the Woods and Red Dawn are 2 that comes to mind. Maybe Warner Bros. is experiencing financial difficulties, who knows?

It could also be due to the main cast. Reports mention the principle cast returning for reshoots so they would of needed to schedule the shoot for whenever everyone was free and Hardy has been a busy man since FR wrapped. In fact I think he's gone on to work on and wrap 3-4 different films already since then.kickherintheguts wrote:I can see good reason for Cabin and Red Dawn release delays, the studio(MGM) was in the midst of a financial crisis..which harks back to my earlier mention of the reason behind Robocop 3's delay.Bomber wrote:Cabin in the Woods and Red Dawn are 2 that comes to mind. Let's not forget if Charlize Theron is part of the reshoots she would have to shave her head again and that would have to be worked in between other projects. There are so many variables that just to make a blanket it's all bad statement would be a tad premature.

Re: Fury Road Release Date?
Yeah, who knows why there's such a HUGE delay in getting this movie released?
I could list at least 6-7 plausible theories off the top of my head; one theory being 1. It's just our dumb freaking luck. If you want the other 5 or 6 just lemme know.

Meh - what's another year or two. Some of us have been waiting for decades.

We get a bloody Lego Movie before Mad Max ????? My reaction is rather similar to that of Wez in MM2 when his "partner" get boomeranged in the face.
