I'd think at least 25 to 30. Without even trying I can think of 8 in nsw. I've sold bodykits for at least 10 cars in the last few years and been contacted by at least a dozen other people with either complete registered BoBs or close to finished cars.

There has been a couple of very high quality replicas sold in the last year (just by word of mouth not advertised).

I was assuming we were talking about completed replicas, not ones in the build stage.
Over the years I have seen plenty of coupes for sale on eBay where the owner claims to have started a MM replica and gave up, seen a few kits and components for sale as well.

Quite a few completed cars have gone overseas as well in the past few years, others have been seen once at car shows, never to be seen again, or for sale on eBay/carsales etc, never to be seen again, while other cars arent really "replicas"... (wrong year model car, or just has a paint job, or just has the roof spoilers fitted, but no blower or flares etc...)

Doing searches for pictures on the internet (facebook, flickr etc)... shows the same few replicas out and about at carshows and varely rarely have I a seen a car which i didnt know who it belonged to. (I usually post the new ones up on here anyways).

A guy at Popular Parts here in Townsville told me a customer told him he had a madmax replica coupe here... even showed him pictures.
Considering a lot of people in the car scene here know my car, no one has ever approached me to say hey i know a guy who has a coupe here and that was over 12months ago.

Dont forget about my car here in Darwin. As far as rego goes, I got an engineers cert for the larger diff and rims, took the side pipes and blower off, put another bonnet on without a hole in it, and have had it on club rego now for the past 2 years. drive it all over the place and often. Once it passes the annual check I put everything back on. Yes I know I'm driving it illegally, but at least I'm driving it. The cops know the car and I don't hoon in it, I enjoy it.

Opps forgot about the darwin car!!!

Yes sometimes a good attitude and no hooning will mean the police will just take a picture of them selves with the car and let you go.
