I can't believe what I'm reading this thread here. Some of the postings are obviously from the minds of deranged geeks. "Humungous could kill Yoda with a .44 easily."

Ok now you're really sounding like those saddoes who go to conventions dressed as Power Rangers and and passionalty debate whether the combined Power Ranger would have a fighting chance against a Optimus Prime the Transformer. (my kids used to watch the programmes. I not THAT geeky LOL!)

Perhaps the phrase "jerking your chain" or even "Pulling your leg" will help. OH, I know, and this is even less subtle; "Winding you up." might help explain Chewwies motivation???

This thread is fun reading and has given me a big grin to start my Friday with, especially the Yoda/Humungous connection. Food for thought that... nope, wait a sec', it won't work; Humungous doesn't have such big sticky out ears nor is he green unlike like that big pile of snot that Yoda is. Sorry... unless ahhh unless of course, it's Yoda who is wearing a very padded flesh coloured suit, had a rubber band about his head to hold in his floppy ears and, and uhhhhhhhhh? Hang on his arms are really really short, how could he hold that .44? Gonna have to give this some more serious thought I think. Image

Big Bopper Bart you're forgetting "Short I be" Yoda, used the Force to pick up that downed X-wing from a swamp, by virtue of that he could easily deflect a speeding death truck aimed at him... or a .44 bullet for that matter Feral Kid.... ah HA! Gotcha! Image

Thank you one and all who have contributed to it. You are a true bunch of nutcases. I'm glad I'm here! Image

Well, of course Chewie's a chain-yanking troll--he must have gotten tired of baiting the Star Trek geeks on their boards. It's all good fun.

Chewie, Harrison Ford threatened to tie George Lucas up and make him repeat his own dialogue, Ford found it so simplistic and cliched. That 's also an accusation that's been leveled at Road Warrior.

Kid, lightsabers can cut through/dissolve any matter, it only deflects energy. It wouldn't be a matter of deflecting a .44 Magnum bullet, the saber would simply disintegrate it into non-existence.

04GT, that's a cool observation, I like it.

OverheadCam, that's interesting. I love the sound of the Millenium Falcon, my favorite sci-fi spaceship of all.

Oh my god, I'm bi...I like both film series.

OK children, let's set a few things straight. Both Star Wars and Mad Max are works of fiction. I hate to burst your bubble, but a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away not much happened. There is no all-powerful "force" controlling our every move (although a good blaster on your side is a good thing). Yes, Max has some basis in reality (if all society went belly up and people were forced to scavenge the wastelands) then maybe ... but who knows?

This is all for fun Chewie. Yes, Yoda can use the force to move massive objects and can probably sense someone aiming at him before pulling the trigger. (Sorry for cross-referencing, but I was thinking about Star Trek First Contact when Picard kills the Borg on the holodeck with the Tommy Gun, since the Borg can adapt to their plasma blasts). What would really impress me is if Yoda could get an actual job and work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5p.m. for crappy pay. Weren't there some allegations that Yoda had some improper contact with some young Padewans at the Jedi Academy, or did that get swept under the rug after a substantial payment to the parents?

Star and Max are all fine flicks. I'm looking forward to Star III almost as much the possibility of Max IV. Will I spend the night waiting in line on May 18th? Probably not, I do have a life. Will I see it? Of course.

STAR WARS EPISODE III HAS A WORLDWIDE RELEASE ,MAY 18th, and We'll never see a MAX IV. MILLER has dissapointed us. Why the heck, a PETE JACKSON works so hard, give us LOTR and soon a remake of KING KONG with a big budget and NAOMI WATTS as support? Why Mr. Gibson has the nerve to disown what has made him famous around the world, and why MILLER acquiesces? Image

PADME....shwing! ....Now you're talkin'...

Running around in that skin tight, white lycra, gym gear in 'Clones', forget about that '4-eyed space tiger' eating her alive...3/4 of the male members of the audience wanted to do the same!!!!

I would've left her with more than a few claw marks around her midriff!

She could crack 'space walnuts' with that arse!...

OK, one more post about Padme and we're done. Remember her outfit the night her and Anakin were sitting by the fire? Black leather, open back and her mellows were lifted to epic heights. Hopefully Lucas realized her appeal and put in her some more revealing outfits for Star III. Fishnet stockings and a mini skirt would be perfect!
