WOW, your project is turning out really nice! Great work!!!
I see you did buy quite a few tidbits from www.madmaxcars.com I recognize those headlight lenses and badge decals right off, and looks like their beacon as well.
Curious looking over all the extra work you did fitting the fiberglass parts and your total man hours counter..... how many hours do you guess you might have saved buying the bolt on stuff from MMC? Not having to work out the front flairs, nosecone, boot lid spoiler etc?
Either way your end result is looking SMASHING!!!

Just spotted it........( thanks again Peter Barton for awesome Street Machine article ).I was wondering why the plate was in so many shots , Dumb arse me thought it was for scale or something . Well spotted MrSpeed and what a score Nuts . The build is incredible .

The only reason the number plate is in so many shots is so they're linked to the build of this car. For better or ...worse? Actually got the idea from Peter's photo with Scott's number plate hanging above all the Fury Road gear.

MFP1... Firstly, love their interceptor reveal videos... I found their products to be excellent in quality. Although I've never seen their front assembly, it looks most impressive in photos and a credit to them. It should replace alot of rusty parts in some vehicles as well. I briefly mentioned them earlier here when weighing up which front. Haven't had any hands on fitting of their front but at a guess, to answer your question, I could have saved 80 hours. But there are other things which don't instantly come to mind which would add some time, like preparing the insides of the steel guards and working out the fitment of the XC lights. I recon I had towards 100 hours to play with by buying Cameron's cheaper front and an 8 to 10 week delivery advantage being here in Australia. I had no rust in the boot, guards or bonnet so I wanted to retain them too.

Interior is a complete mess ..... No headlights..... No reverse lights..... No working heater..... No indicator cancel..... No Speedo..... No XB tail light housings.... and therefore no roadworthy.... also not cut and polished.... No mat paint or pinstriping....

I just LOVE seeing the updates on this build. You are so awesome to stick it through and get it done. Its a real look at where I would have been if I did not have the Mad Max Cars guys helping me, but I don't think I would have ever made it as far as you have. KUDOS you are nearing the finish line, so close I bet you can taste it!
Many thanks for the breakdown of extra time invested using the "other" bodykit and various parts. I have often heard the MMC guys telling folks about the pros and cons of their 2 kits (the make a more conventional "short" kit, besides the more popular one with bolt on Guards, Bonnet, Boot lid etc), and their advice is usually "If you are doing the bodywork yourself you may save a little cash with the short kit, but if you are paying someone to do the bodywork for you, you will save a lot more in labor time to get the bolt on parts". I am guessing it is even more like that with other kits out there.
Anyway, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Can't wait to see it finished and terrorizing the streets.
P.S. Check out the blower drive video I posted up for MMC in this forum, I think it would look smashing on your car.
