Apparently the truck was brought back to Sydney and is being sold by its owner for ~$10K AUD.

the first car you asked about, the one that "crapped out" is an early to mid 40's chevy truck with the lower half of the grill missing. They used the same cab and grill from 1941 until 1946. although car production stopped during the war trucks were still produced.

I was wrong it's a 1939-1940 chevy truck.

I thought that too, but apparently not -- you can see it in the background of the same shot. Plus this looks a bit different. The carrier is a white Road King apparently; this is a black Mack truck.

It's a White Road Boss actually. (White is the make, not the color)

That's true, it's never seen again. Although maybe it was used for hauling the War Rig's tanker during production like the White Road Boss was.

BTW, here's another little hidden gem that never really made it into the movie (at least not in that form).

Is this it here ? like a spare tractor used to haul one of the 3 War Rig trailers , maybe pulled into action as a filler vehicle to make up numbers ?
