The speed up of the Max/Furiosa fight is like this in the movie ? Because it's pretty odd...Stamper wrote:Please not that clips are always edited down from the actual film edit. That's why some of the edits are jarring, and the violence is missing.

I didn't notice any speed up, frankly...

I've noticed a slight spedup feeling around Nux which I can only assume is to reflect his manic, drug-fueled behaviour.

Not disturbing at all. It looks mega-cool.seriz wrote:The fight between Theron & Hardy is obviously speed up !
I'm just wondering how bad Tom's Max smells in comparison with Mel's Max...

Yeah, i watched the B-Roll footage and Tom's Max fights better than Mel's, imo.Uncle Entity wrote:IMHO, Tom's Max is very close to the MM3 Max... and just more distant from the MM1 Max or the MM2 Max. He's more vulnerable but I suspect he will be a much more better fighter than Mel's Max anyway.pauli77 wrote:
Ah, apologies. Certainly agree he plays him like that at moments - first half of RW springs to mind.
Hardy is reminding me of Vin Diesel in this and not sure that's a good thing lol.

Re: 6 Official Movie Clips! (SPOILERS)
How can you compare their fighting styles when Mel's Max never really did much from out behind a steering wheel?
He only ever fought a monster in a dome and 'cheated' with the whistle.
And all he could do in Aunty's penthouse was dodge crossbow bolts and axes and use the furniture around him as weapons.
And all he did in the Thunderdome train chase was hop around alot.
He never got a chance to prove himself.
Hardy's seems to do nothing BUT fight - check out that B-roll footage, he spends a good 20 minutes physically fighting people off the top of that tanker.

Indeed, in the previous movies Max was a driver and a leader.

I know where you're coming from. Anyway, either the Audition and the Thunderdome fight kinda illustrated his "basic moves" I think. He loves to use the surroundings to fight... (there's a glimpse of it in the clip where Tom's Max fights Furiosa, so must be a common traits between the Maxes)... he uses his reflexes... he's Max, not Van Damme.rockatansky4073 wrote:How can you compare their fighting styles when Mel's Max never really did much from out behind a steering wheel?

The main difference between Mel's Max and Tom's Max is the overall "attitude". Mel's Max seems to me more of an "improvised fighter" but very capable and very strong, while Tom's Max seems to me a bit more professionally trained, but I could be wrong of course.
