Re: News on the Fury Road sequel: "The Wasteland" !!!
Same boat as the rest of us. I'd rule out anything happening this year.

Has anyone watched Hardy in the new BBC period drama 'Taboo' produced by him and Ridley Scott?
Really good performance and one that would be perfect for Max in 'Wasteland'.

Loved that he wanders around with a feral dog in it

Yikes! The fandom might now be dictating the direction. The tail is starting to wag the dog.rustycarr wrote:http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/04/26/ ... of-warrior

Old news since he was talking about the Doof Warriors origins nearly 2 years ago. There was originally meant to be a comic like the Immortan and Max ones but it never got released.
He will be in the Furiosa prequel/sequel thats for sure.

IMDB lists Nick Lathouris writing it
I'm not convinced that thats an encouraging idea after the "story" of Fury Road
We can probably lay all the social agenda squarely at Millers feet with or without Nick Lathouris,
but even if we did that then what did Nick Lathouris bring to the table?
He didn't seem capable of saving Fury road from basically being,
"Okay lets drive all the way that way, and now lets drive all the way back"
Some of the characters were kind of colorful, maybe he did that
Maybe his writing credit will be "characters created by"

Nick Lathouris was responsible for expanding the universe of Fury Road into the two additional scripts.
He also broke down the characters in that each of them had their own individual story arc.
I think he's credited on IMDB because, well, he developed The Wasteland whilst working on Fury Road.

We're in 2017 obviously... Where the hell is our announcement of the Mad Max 5's start of shooting?!? I can't believe it hasn't already happened. We were told scripts were already written which implies we should have had a movie by now or at least a start date as I said earlier. Why bother to announce scripts are written if we have to wait ten years to have Max 5? I remember in 2011 when I heard two more movies will happen after Fury Road. No way I thought George Miller will go the Indiana Jones 5 route with his Mad Max 5 (In 2008, Lucaspielberg told us at Cannes there will be another one if fourth's successful)... A real disappointment really.
