Sounds like a capital plan! I've got my new casting supplies.

The molding process is non-destructive, so you should be able to reinstall the spoilers and flares.

Here's the finished prototype. It ended up being 69 pieces in total after a couple of retro-fittings. It's not a project I care to repeat...except when I make the custom front for my "1:1 scale Interceptor", making the 1:18 piece to match. The 1:1 XA tail lenses are almost ready for casting now.

Looks frigging awsome, Jay. I see you even put the little "attitude turn" to the front wheels for the pic. The detail is amazing, even the little "flare" at the bottom edge looks right.

I'll have to look into Weber for my wife's car. She wants sequential signals in her '66.

Thanks Steve. I had to do a shameless plug for Draknoirs wheels...it's a team effort afterall. All of the details are copied right off of the "1:1" nose sitting in the garage, so even the offset of the lower side scoops and the angled return under the bumper is there. The real nose is probably going to be made into a wall decoration like Adrian did.

I'm making the box to send it to him (Draknoir) now and he should have it by Friday or Saturday. Whenever the two cases come in, I'll pull the flares and send those along. Outside of the RVS radio, I think we'll have all the parts for a MM1conversion kit now.

I've been watching this thread in awe and anticipation for months now.

The quality and detail of the parts you guys have made is mind blowing.

Is there a plan to put together a 'kit' for those of us with bratworst fingers who are limited to working in 1:1 scale and if so keep me in mind as a definite customer.

Either way great work all round.

You planning to sell any copies? Mine has nice flares and spoilers, but your nose cone makes mine look like a jellybean.

My 1/18 boot spoiler is pretty much done, and the body shell is finally headed off to Keith tomorrow for moldmaking.

Thanks MANX. Actually, I just supplied the CONCORDE buck/mock-up to DRAKNOIR so he can start casting them, so, you'll have to talk to him about getting a copy. Selling sets are all dependant on the mold longevity and cost-to-profit ratio.

Thanks Jay. As far as costs for the pieces between you two, I am happy to pay a fair price for short run, quality work.

I've started setting up for the mold. I just can't believe how perfect this part is. I'm going for a one piece resin mold. I'll post photos when I get a decent casting. I'll leave the selling of kits to Jay... it's obvious that a LOT of work went into this nosepiece... you have to hold it in your hands and see it snapped onto the model to appreciate the craftsmanship. I just have the easy part of reproing the master.

Manx: My workbench is cleaned off and ready for your car.

I just poured the mold. It'll be 24 hours before I know whether it worked. It took more rubber than I thought it would.

Now if my last two sealed bottles of resin will just work without foaming...
