Got a question,

How wide is the matte pin stripe at the rear quarters?

The whole rear end of the car is matt black....
It basically flows straight from the top of the rear flare and curves up to the rear spoiler.

Sam,
If you click on the picture, you will be able to see the drivers side rear quarter and there is a matt black pin stripe visible.
Unknown how wide it is.

Im sure i was wrong and its how i did my bob but it always seemed to me that the pin strip on hood was a touch wider than what was on the body also.

Appollogies, read it wrongly....

It wouldve been the same width used as the GT/GS falcons of the time which im guessing is 1/2in!
(The width of the pinstipe is the same width as the gap between the pinstripe and the solid matt black, which is the same width as the pinstripe tape)
The workshop manual I have on the XB doesnt show any pictures or references.
I'll see what i can come up with...

Well the "official" width is supposed to be 6mm for the standard GT/GS stripe.... so my theory went out the window!
The gap is 22mm...

Well youll have to guestimate a bit... lets see a complete FE is roughly 650lbs and a 351 windsor is about 525lbs. Think about how big and heavy that cast iron intake manifold is on the FE because it incorporates a small portion of the head. The heads them selfs are small but heavy too. So you have about 125lbs difference between both motors im sure The FE would weight the 525lbs with Alum heads, intake, and alum waterpump too. Hope that helps.
