if they did use flash backs it would probly be from the original film as they did at the begining of madmax2, 'the road warrior'' as known in the states

Maybe they would also use some cut footage from 1&2.

I honestly hope the Interceptor is not back in it in anyway shape or form. For one if it is it means they are rewritting the history of the movie because it is gone. Second is more selfish because movies like this always drive up the prices of the cars involved and that would drive it right out of any possibility of me getting one.

ok heres my take on the interceptor.
clearly, it was not the only interceptor. remember the monaro the nightrider stole ?
It was perhaps the LAST interceptor, and as such provided with hard to get or quality parts. Look at the rpo 83 falcons seeded with phase iv parts.
Depending upon when mm iv is set - it could have another xb coupe in it. ive always tough there was tremendous scope for a mmiv set between mm1 and mm2.
i like to ignore mm3.
As for an interceptor which is a bit more modern - there was an excellent au based coupe made by the hilliers. Custom, classy, crisp.

ive run a diesel engine on neat vegetable oil, you get big v8 diesels that put out big power and make a lovely noise. in brazil they run a lot of their engines on ethanol blended from plants, dont start me on methane from pig shit (perhaps that whats tthey were trying to do in th********e) the only reason were addicted to fossil fuel is the size and power of the oil companies. cant wait till we run out of oil be a lauph

Miller said in the press release that the vehicles were going to be "cobbled together from wrecks of the past". So does that mean The Past in terms of the movies timeline or The Past in terms of the vehicles used in the previous 3 films productions? They wouldn't have actual wrecks from previous movies lying around so I'm guessing it's the former. Or maybe the vehicles will be a mix of designs from the previous movies. Dunno....Gotta wait and see.

I'll just chip in.
It all depends on where MM4 is set on the timeline. Everything seems to be fine if it's a prequel to any of movies. But if set after MM3... that's a tough one. Jokes are just making themselves up, could they be chasing eachother on bicycles or on foot? How about dog powered wagons? I think the only possibility would be methane and/or other natural 'fuel'. Unless the story presents some compound full of oil. Nontheless, options are very limited. Come to think of it, Miller's got one hell of a problem to solve. How to make a movie about cars without fuel and not copy his own ideas. I guess I'd go with methane. But on the other hand, seeing that ute literally holding on glue it seems like it's running on nitro. I sense something fishy going on with MM4 and cars. Either a prequel, or they're going into fantasy land with magical unicorns pooping nitro turds.
