It is every persons right to do so.........


Its not a personal attack on anyone.... except the government.


You can't sit on ya behind and not say anything when strange policy appears for no apparent reason.


Stiffling discussion on government policy is something akin to what the nazi party and stalin did all those years ago......


Hell most aussies will tell you flat out that we possibley have the worst government in decades.....


If they brought in some weird law saying we had to ban a certain import because it contained too many vitamins, id be asking why. It's a noncense law that benefits no-one. And sure is weird !

Hey about that name change too, Bombay got renamed to Mombai, or something like that. I'm not sure if it was the Indian Govt or the UK Govt trying to make the Indians feel better about the UK changing its name way back in the days before black and white photography. But it, seems the people that actually live there didn't get a say in whether they wanted it's name changed or not and most still continue calling it Bombay as it's what they're used to. But the UK govt now insists on calling it Mombai and it is now considered politically incorrect to use anything else. Most Indians nationals in the UK reply with "Huh? Where's that?"


Aren't dumbass govt's wonderful? Self-serving and obsessed with red tape just for the sheer fun of it. And always feeling this overwhelming desire to protect us from terrible things like Vegemite and it's lethal Folate ingredient to making sure we don't offend the ethnic minorities by our political incorrectness.

Hey BBB I heard on the news the other day that the population of the USA has risen from 200 million to 300 million in just 39 years. The US govt is worried about this and has vowed to do something about it. Seems they're now doing their best to reduce the population levels in other countries in an effort to counterbalence this.


Ahhhhhhhh Americans, you gotta love 'em! Especially the ones that get wound up so easily.

OK OK just to balance the "dumb laws" from one country,here's a couple from UK


Since 1313, MPs are not allowed to don armor in Parliament (most of em prefer stockings and corsets anyway)


No cows may be driven down the roadway between 10 AM and 7 PM unless there is prior approval from the Commissioner of Police ( mooooooo)


All English males over the age 14 are to carry out 2 or so hours of longbow practice a week supervised by the local clergy.(avoiding the cows on the roadways hopefully)


Any person found breaking a boiled egg at the sharp end will be sentenced to 24 hours in the village stocks (all English males aged 14 would need to be excused for long bow practice though)


Chelsea Pensioners may not be impersonated.(coz Scouse pensioners get jealous ?)

Australia already has plenty of odd laws like that... at least lots I have delt with in exporting hundreds of cars there and dealing with conversions for 10 years.. take seat belts for one.. ours are safe enough for 300+ million Americans, but if they get used by an Aussie, thier car will spontainiously combust and crash into the local church and set it on fire I guess ?? Unless it is a late model truck with the seat belts built into the seats and air bags, then you guys are safe from the big yanky menace.. LOL (yes, some seat belts are safe, some are not..)


And speaking of conversions... funny how a '72 model vehicle is perfectly safe LHD (or so they say by allowing them full rego), but an '82 or '92 or even '02 for that matter staying LHD will kill off everyone within 100 meters within minutes of being on the road I guess LOL


I could go on about some of the odd importation laws but you get the idea... (should I get into fumigation ones too ? or how about seat belts mounting even...)
