Ditto with you BBB on that pic.
Is that a giant red, yellow & blue pencil sharpener?
More obscure song lyrics like that old Sinatra song BBB quoted from above

"She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force
You're obliged to conform when there's no other course
She used to look good to me, but now i find her......"[/font]

Are we living in a land where sex and horror are the new gods?

I looked at the site of Interceptor.nl. He is also Duch, so I could reed what he wrote. You can see on a photo that he drove 148Km/h and said that he nearly drove 170Km/h with that Robin. A frightening idea if you ask me. There's also a link to a photo of two Fiat Panda's in interceptor colors. But it's all realy funny.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Here's my 1969 Triumph GT6:

These images are about 5 months old. She's being stripped and getting prepared to be primed and painted Dark British Racing Green(after some body work). That modified inline 6 is going to be removed(~210 bhp), but it really screamed when it was running, given the car only weighed 1780 pounds. You cannot see the Triumph TR6 transmission and differentials that were placed into this car, but they are essential to handling that amount of power, as the stock components break easily even with the stock 104 horsepower engine.
This car is being converted into an electric vehicle. I intend to eventually use a Netgain WarP 9'' DC motor, Cafe Electric Zilla 1k controller(HV model), Manzanita Micro PFC 20 charger, and 25 Optima D750 yellowtop deep cycle batteries; Exide Orbitals would also suffice for the battery pack.
This setup would give me about 170 peak horsepower at 4,000 rpm and about 220 peak lb-ft of torque from 0 rpm to ~4,000 rpm. The car will weigh about 2,400 pounds as an electric car.
0-60 mph would be about 6 seconds, top speed 140+ mph, 1/4 mile in the mid 14 second range as an ELECTRIC car.
I could also choose to use a Zilla 2k controller, instead of the 1k controller. The 1k and 2k stand for 1,000 amps and 2,000 amps, respectively. With a series wound DC motor, peak torque varies as an exponential function of the armature current. At 1,000 amps, for instance, the motor would produce about 220 lb-ft of torque, but throw 2,000 amps into that bastard, and you'd have about 400 lb -ft. With a Zilla 2k with the same battery pack size and motor, peak torque would be about 400 lb-ft and peak horsepower about 275 at ~3,500 rpm. That would SCREAM in a 2,400 pound car and could in theory allow 1/4 mile passes in the low 13s to high 12s. Dodge Viper and Corvette territory with an electric car.
With a battery pack of either 25 Optima Yellowtops or 28 Exide Orbitals, range would be about 80-100 miles per charge doing 65-70 on the highway, 30-40 miles with a lead foot and taking off full throttle at every stop and going 90 a couple times, perhaps 8-12 miles terrorizing the highways at 140, very sufficient for 99% of driving for most people, 100% of my own driving needs. Charge time will be limited by the outlet I plug into, and not the charger itself. If I use an outlet in my garage, it might take 8 hours to charge from empty, but if I use a high output outlet at a place like a campground, charge time could be 1 hour.
I'll never have to pay for gas again. On top of that, no tune ups, no oil changes, no emissions systems to worry about, no mufflers, no pistons, no valves, no crankshaft. Only one moving part on a series wound DC electric motor. An electric motor can last well in excess of 500,000 miles without any repairs, and only maintenance a $20, 15 minute motor brush change every 100,000 miles which anyone can do on their own with a very basic tool set. Just remove the motor case, take out the old brushes, place in and adjust the new brushes, put the motor case back on.
The cost to run would be so low that gas would have to be over $1.30/gallon(USD) for the electric car to be more expensive to run than a gas car that gets 30 miles per gallon. Adjusted for inflation, gas in hasn't been that low for years, so the electric car will be especially much cheaper to run today and into the future as gas gets more expensive. The cost of the batteries and replacing them every 50,000+ miles(~$2,500 battery pack) is more than made up in savings from not having any maintenance and being able to 'fuel' the car with cheap, abundant electricity at the equivalent of 1.5 cents per mile where I live.
This will be the best car I ever owned(and continue to own my entire life unless I wreck it), and I'll have built it myself.
Want to avoid high gas prices? I strongly recommend others do the same as I am. My setup when all is said and done will cost in the neighborhood of $12k($20k if I go with the 2,000 amp setup and a beefier transmission and differential), but it would cost much less if I wouldn't be aiming for speed. It may start out a much more modest conversion that is dog slow and can only go 70 mph with 40 miles range, and that could be done for about $3k. But it will eventually be that road terror I intend, count on it. When done, I will be posting photos and videos of its street racing antics. The local ricers will sh*t themselves if they get beat by an electric car.
