Sorry, sounds waaay to Hollywood; like having every character in a series of prequels having some great cosmic destiny and reason to appear in the last three movies. Or something from Jar-Jar Binks. Bubba kinda reminds me of Barney Rubble, other than that he's cool. As far as the Blue Oyster bar, I could see Johnny The Boy, Cundalini and Mudguts in that bar though I doubt those 3 could scrape up enough airfare for Toronto unless Toecutter and Bubba would lend them some money.
