Mad Max 4 and Thunderdome

Hey All


I have played with the idear to completely ignore that Thunderdome was ever made.[/font]


The third (4th) movie should then pick up after RW and the plot would be that Max [/font]


Is driving deeper into the wasteland in pappa gallos vehicle. He finds a walley with a cave and uses that as his camp. One night he wakes up and hear that someone is messing with his vehicle. He manages to catch the intruder and it turns out that it is a young woman (Mary) that also lives in the wasteland. She is a wizard with vehicles and lives off trading parts and fixing vehicles. They become friends and she revels that she has a place where she keeps all the vehicles and parts stashed away . They go there together and becomes friends/lovers He tells about his past and when he mentions the Interceptor she takes him to her vehicles and dig out a Falcon GT and with the engine and blower from Gallos vehicle they build a jet black Interceptor. She tells Max that scavengers killed her family and she was the only survivor. Her farther was a famous and very skilled mechanic for a raceteam.And she helped out all the time. At some point they come across the same scavengers and Max desides to help Mary get her revenge.And the chacing can begin............................[/font]

And what exactly are your ideas for MM4 Brent? I read your reply in the "The way I see it" thread and thought it great, as well as the one outlined above by blown215.


I'm currently writing my own story which run very similar to both your ideas. I'm not suggesting plagerism, but parrallel thinking.. great minds think alike, and all that guff.


I guess deep down we all want to see Max get his V8 back and got out on the road again, but also to have some happiness in his life with a woman who can handle herself rather than be simply a screaming in the face of danger, constantly falling over while running away from the bad guys ooooh I broke a nail type


Know what I mean?


It really hacks me off when you see a film that the leading lady plays the role of the stereotypical Fay Wray in King Kong weakling, rather than someone who could kick ass with the best of 'em! Not butch or overtly a feminist but has both sides well in balence.


Y'know, wears make-up and heels as she's beating 7 shades of sh*t out of the bad guys


Maybe it's my own ideal woman.

Be my guest Brent, the story that I've put in here is just a draft of what I'm trying to put together and maybe turn into a ''comic book'' thing like Marvel. If I ever get the time.

No no no. I trimmed the scene- with editing tricks and freeze frames, Blaster is almost dead when he hits the ground. I gave him a computer generated beard and cut out the film's original premise of Blaster being a boy in a man's body. Basically I made Blaster out to be an asshole with an attitude. I know Max wouldn't have killed a boy. So, I just modified the scene and changed Blaster's appearance to make the story turn into a double crossing by Tina Turner. I hope I explained everything okay.

I think without Gibson, it has a chance, not that I don't like Gibson, but he's getting too old to play Mad Max. Also the futuristic setting of Mad Max 3 was ruined by having two stars on there, I say bring back the old idea of unknown actors. That's what made MM so realistic to me.

Thunderdome is a big hard pill to swollow but that's the way it is. Gibson changed his mind about MM 4 and coughed up whining excuses about it. It ain't gonna happen. Fury Road is dead- Gibsin flipped us fans the 'bird'. We could get a huge global petition together demanding a Fury Road and a MM / RW feel and mood to the story- and Gibson would STILL flip us the 'bird'. Maybe try rallying Miller or something to talk to Mel. But, never the less, Thunderdome IS Max's final adventure and Gibson wants us to deal with it. I know it pisses us all off but there is nothing we can do about it accept to just shut up and like it.

i bet soemones feeling stupid now that miller has said he would still do mad amx and that mel is looking at reprising his role. the only way they could still cal it mad max 4 is with "mad max" aka mel. without mel the only other way to go is prequil to the original with a younger aussie mel gibson look a like.


but meh not sure a there is any good that can come of mm4 but we'll just have to see. i'm suprised as any of you that miller has even talked abotu mm4 after all this time.

Not yet... You see, talking about a task is one thing. Doing it is another... I still stand where I stand until I see a promotional trailer or more concrete evidence of a sequel without a possibility of Mel 'copping' out. Come on Mel, Clint Eastwood does movies all the time in his age of old men kicking some young punk ass.

[div]That comes across in my script. My script has Max back as a cop in Australia, where him and his partner, Paul, have a good ol' fight with another Humungus-type. But in this world, humanity is starting to clear away its rubble and rebuild itself. Australia, along with four other nations, has formed a single unified republic, and there are lots of people at the gate trying to steal and wreck the republic.[/div]

[div]Max is essentially the guy that no criminal that likes living wants to face down. He is a straight cop until he has one run in with said Humungus-type, which leaves him half-dead in the middle of the Outback. He gets found by a young woman, who also happenes to be a great biker and a tougher-than-thou fighter. (I wanted to use blown215's idea and make her an expert mechanic too, I hadn't thought of that.) This girl hooks him up with a piece of history......of course, its the Interceptor, rebuilt from the wreckage of what she recovered from the time it gets blown up in MM2. He takes it out, and with her and his partner run across Australia and into South Africa, hunting down the guy who tried to kill him.[/div]

[div]They along the way run into a man whose brother was killed in the war and wants to help Max, a vigilante brother/sister combo, a vocal, nasty African tribe leader and they get drawn up into a big plot to destroy the republic's representatives.[/div]
