I agree with Redd! Who do we have to push hard to get George to open up that safe and spit out some of the deleted scenes! They may not have spent the average clams on the first two films, but I'm sure some stuff still hit the cutting room floor... It's got to be somewhere.. I bet ya Mel's got it, "yea Mel's got it, he'll keep anything" Get him... get Mel he's got the missing scenes to RW and MM....I hear he's splicing them together with bits from the man without a face, attack force z, what women want, and the passion.... It will be a little dis-jointed but he thinks it will be his best film yet......

The opening chase sequence jumps straight into the action with the camera pulling out of the V8's supercharger. This scene was originally shot with Max driving past a farm that Wez and others were ransacking, the bodies of the owners hanging dead from a tree. Seeing Max they all ran to their vehicles and gave chase and there were several cars. The camera then panned out of the car's charger to signify a short passage of time and THEN the scene is as we know it with just Wez and two cars still still in pursuit due to the Interceptor's power.

Holy SH*T! Now THAT'S a version I gotta see!

If that was the case, Mad Max would either have an identity crisis or Split Personality Disorder.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. I bought the cassette soundtrack to Road Warrior ten years ago. It wasn't very good. The reason was because it didn't contain ALL of the music from the film. It only contained some. I hope there is a way to find out of a copy that has ALL of the music in it from the film.

I'm not convinced that scene was ever shot, you would at least expect stills to confirm this as with the deleted scenes from mad max but there is nothing, and if any version should have contained the deleted scene i reckon it would have been the "lost version", they seemed to have dug up all that was left over on the cutting room floor for that one!

Bit of trivia for ya about the "Golden Youth", whilst "grilling" Vernon wells over his part in the movie I also asked him about Jimmy Brown, he replied, " Oh yes, the pizza delivery guy, not seen him since"....................draw your own conclusions but it sounds like he got the part by being in the right place at the right time, and his looks of course!

Aye, I'm with you on this one Adrian, there's no stills or photographs of the scene so I don't think it was ever shot.

It's kinda like that "missing" Italian Job chase scene that shows the mini's going through the Fiat factory to get up on the roof ....a myth.

I'll happily eat my words though if either shows up!!

There was however a missing scene from The Italian Job, where the mini's and the police cars were in a ballroom, and sliding around on the slippy floor and done so it looked like they were "dancing" together. It was all done to a peice of classical music, its a famous peice of music, but I can't remember the name of it.

Your right ADE, how come we ain't seen photo's, yet we've seen that cool DELETED? or PROMO SHOT? of MAX filling the tank of the BoB, at the MACK site.

Anyone who is a fan of the nasty ITALIAN Cannibal movie CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, woulda hear about the famous 'Deleted' Pirahna scene - anyway even if you don't know about this movie, this scene was never actually filmed, but they set it all up to begin filming it, and changed their minds at the last second, and my point is, they even took a photo of this preparation, with everyone in costume etc. - trust me they photograph everything.

Also , (and i'm not disputing your info ALEX) just thinking about it, i have the script to MAD MAX 2, and theres nothing about WEZ picking up YOUTH from that farm, they just maraude the place and bugger off, GOLDEN YOUTH was always there.

Show biz works that way, Rock. I know that whenever I write a screenplay and direct, a new or additional idea might come into play shortly before shooting or during shooting. Or at the last minute, I may decide not to shoot a scene. Filming is always unpredictable. You never know what lies around the next bend. I too read the Mad Max 2 script and my favourite scene (when Max lost his shotshells off of the Mac's hood) was never in the Script. Nor did the Tanker ever have a collision with Humungus. I think Miller had some additional sparked ideas or probably Byron Kennedy looked at the script and said - "You know what? Lets make this script more viseral and explosive."
