I am just a humble janitor at night, taking care of my daughter during the day while my wife brings home the major bacon (hey, I'm a liberal, 21st century American male...)

March Hare--I just bit the bullet (said wife has not worked in 3 months) and bought the MM1 dvd, and I much preferred the original Australian English. But I was wondering, did they dub it because the original voices (meaning microphone placement) were so light? If I didn't already know the dialogue by heart, it would have been hard to pick up.

I much prefer this theory to the one where stupid American audiences wouldn't accept a movie with Australian English. (Tho, sadly, that's probably true)

Lol, I must be the rarest of all...I'm a Judge in a criminal court.Image ( Yes, you are right, one of those who sends the "bad guys" to prison...)

I love cars and motorbikes, and am a fan of MM films since they were released, when I was just 15 years old.

And I like very much the people in tis forums..it's nice to see how sooo different nationalities and jobs can agree about their interest in cars and MM, and spend a good amount of time talking friendly about it.

Thanks all, guys, you are cool!

AH GOOD! Now we have a judge to arbitrate when ROCKATANSKY and UNCLE ENTITY get into it too far...lol. Welcome aboard...

My "earlier" jobs consisted of the following: Hardees (cook), Santa's Workshop, Cascade Colorado (ride operator), Bambino's Pizza (driver), Wagner Rents/CAT Rental Store(CATERPILLAR Mechanic), European Auto Parts (Driver), Seattle Parks Dept (ranger/constable), Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group (JCI-The company formerly known as Prince) (Advanced Design 3-D Developer).

There you have it....

Hey now-

If we have a judge, we need a 'gulag'.......

Well, let's see.....in previous employment incarnations, I worked in a bookstore (nice job, but most of the money we made was from 'adult' material....), several years as a mechanic working on Alfa Romeos, too many years as a billboard painter (yep, climb up one of those really tall billboards along the highway, then hoist yourself up the face of the ad. Peaceful, but dangerous), I was an 'elf' (designed and engineered toys (did some of the new 'Godzilla" stuff in 94, not the movie stuff, this was before), and lately, I've been building museum exhibits.

Cool. Three professional model builders now...Bronze21, Mitch and now Detritus.

PS: What does Detritus mean...Maximus means the ultimate or paragon...but I don't have a Latin dictonary handy, to decipher the first part.

Just so it doesn't seem too much like a coincidence, Mitch and I have known each other for 16 years. And we have worked together at three different places.
