George Miller's next film?

A poll of Collider.com readers shows that George Miller is the preferred choice to direct MOS2 by a wide margin.

So with all that in mind, it's not too surprising to see that George Miller is the clear frontrunner, with 33 percent of the vote and, with 1,179, nearly a third of all votes entered. Brad Bird is a distant second with 11 percent and 409 votes, while Matthew Vaughn is third with 277 votes and 8 percent of the total.

The Collider show is now saying they've heard Miller will be directing New Gods but then they were the same guys who said he was directing Man of Steel 2, so which is it?

Ever since Fury Road dropped, some fanboys have been vocal about wanting a New Gods movie directed by Miller. That might be all this is.

Ah. The rumor comes from Jon Schnepp.

Speculation has centred more on the possibility of Miller directing Man of Steel 2 – which WB are actively pursuing now for a 2018/19 release date – but John Schnepp, speaking on Collider Heroes, claims that he is circling a different project: New Gods.

Schnepp, who acquired a number of key contacts in the movie industry from making his acclaimed documentary The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? claimed that a little birdy told him that Miller is in the frame to direct New Gods for Warner Bros., even though the film has not been formally announced yet.

Discussing Man of Steel 2 on Collider Heroes, Schnepp said: “A year ago we heard George Miller was in the frame to direct Man of Steel 2. I still think that’s a possibility but a little birdy told me he’s possibly going to be doing the New Gods, even though that’s not even announced yet. I don’t know where it’s coming from – if my birdy is insane – who knows, maybe it came from a Mother Box and it’s just in another world now.”

I would love Miller to direct new gods! I assume it won't be his next film, he has said he wants to do a small film next. Anyway things are looking good for Miller, it's Miller time!

So that's two separate rumors from 4chan as well as the one from Schnepp's source. Probably all the same source, but who really knows.
