Some amendments:

Morris is a 1938 Hillman Minx
Bones is a 1939 Maple Leaf Truck

Good call, but the Minx was a later model, I think Wartime model. The trunk is flat in the 38 model, it sticks out with hinges up top in the 40's model.

I just found this image -- apparently one of the features on the MMFR Blu-Ray mentions that Razor Cola was also titled "Caltrop Vehicle #6". Makes sense, since Razor Cola wasn't originally going to be the name of the car. Artemis Flow, that might be worth adding to the site.

Sweet , I think there were different group names for cars before they got nicknames , I have seen them referenced like that in a few places now i.e
Caltrops - vehicles with caltrops , though we only seen one ?
Firecars - cars with flamethrowers
Buggys - cars made from off roader buggies
Claws - cars with harpoon and claw setups
Buzzards - spiky mofos

Any more ?

Yeah the Razor cola was the only vehicle with a Caltrop dropper!
Least the only one we see getting used.

The "Buggy" category is puzzling though, because we know the Pirentti is in that category too, so it's not just ratrods and offroaders. And we know there are at least 9 cars in that group. So I imagine maybe that's a bit of a generic category for pursuit vehicles -- it would help if we knew the identities of the other 6+ Buggies though. I'm guessing maybe the Charger, Jeep, Hillman, Buick, Mini Cooper, Jaguar, Caddy, etc might fall in that area, but maybe not. Elvis and Bones too.

Along with the Monaro, the Volkswagen and the Holden HZ, I am pretty sure Prince Valiant is one of the "Firecars", and I think possibly the Dodge is too -- I'm sure I saw a photo of the Dodge with a jetting flamethrower in the Art Of Fury Road book (I had to do a double-take, as at a glance I thought it was the Monaro but then I noticed the much chunkier profile). We also now know that both Razor Cola and the Chevy Utility #4 are in the "Caltrops" category.

This all reminds me of the original production notes for Mad Max 2 (available on the MM wiki), that basically listed the request for a certain amount of Street Racers, a certain amount of Dune Buggies, a certain amount of Tow Trucks, etc. I imagine the MMFR team was given a brief to produce X amount of each category, and then certain vehicles from each category developed their own nicknames, ie Tyre Medic, FDK, Elvis and so on.

What I'd give for somebody from the production team to confirm this. I am constantly hoping that we will eventually be given some kind of document or note listing all the cars and their makes, categories and nicknames. That would be AMAZING. I think that's what we should be working towards, so if Taipan, Artemis Flow, or anyone else have contacts with people who worked on the film, THIS is what we should be asking.

Also don't forget the Polecats category, Artemis! :P

From the evidence we've seen so far, there are at least 9 Buggies, 4 Claw Cars (I'm not counting the Mack tow truck, as it doesn't have a plough, just harpoons, and its a Citadel vehicle as opposed to a Bullet Farm one), 5 Polecats, 6 Caltrops Cars, and 4 Fire Cars. That still leaves plenty of other "featured vehicles" or oddities, but I'd love to have concrete info about which cars fit into which groups.

Yes knew I'd forget one lol , Andrew Rickard gave me the name of a couple of the buggies and some are on the DVD
I have made some of my own categories on my site for search purposes when you click on the tags i.e Pursuit
Pretty sure one of those guys said they had pics of every vehicle 8-)
